I signed up to try this out, and it underperforms all other investments. Money is tied up with no access to manage it and at a very low Rate of return.

Hi there Brian! Thank you very much for taking the time to review us! Keep in mind that REIT is designed to build wealth over an extended period of time. Your first dividend is prorated based on the number of days you were invested for the month, it looks like your investment cleared escrow near the end of the month so were only invested a couple of days. Your next dividend should be a bit higher. Another thing to point out is that the dividends will start to increase over time as we finalize the renovation of the properties and start to increase rents. Another thing to point out is that the dividend is only a part of your return, and does not factor in the appreciation of the assets.
