Unhygienic

I recently placed a food order with Distacart to Ireland, and while the delivery times and updates seemed fine, the experience once I received the package was extremely disappointing. As soon as I opened the box, I was hit with the most offensive smell. The packaging itself — including the bubble wrap — reeked of something foul and unhygienic. I tried to salvage the situation by attempting to clean the individual food packets, but ultimately I couldn’t bring myself to consume any of it. In the end, I had to throw everything away — nearly €100 worth of food gone to waste. This has completely put me off ever ordering from Distacart again. I had assumed the products would be shipped from a proper central warehouse, but based on the condition of what I received, I honestly don’t know where it came from. If the packaging was in that kind of state, I couldn’t possibly trust the safety of the food inside. Really poor experience overall, and I wouldn’t recommend.
