Here we go again with these people. When buying my tires, they gave me a great story of how I would get a discount if my tire treads wore out and if I got a flat tire they would fix it for free. WORN TIRES: "We can't give you a discount because the tires are too worn out. Do you want to buy new ones?" FLAT TIRE: "We can't fix your flat tire because the nail is in the wrong position. Do you want to buy a new one?" These people are a bunch of clowns. Always some hidden fact to prevent honoring their offers.

I’m finally DONE with Discount Tire here in Reno NV!! The last few times I’ve used them something gets broken or missing off my car! Whether it’s center cap ( expensive pieces on a BMW), valve stem covers or not long ago they broke my trunk lid actuator! They paid for the replacement (their insurance company did) and it cost them nearly $600!! I’m not sure why this place went so downhill from when I started with them and I appreciate that there are Discount Tire store in most locations around where I might drive but they hire kids and don’t train them. The last straw was this season’s trade over to summer tires and when they finished the kid told me they were filled to the right specs and so on. On the way home from the store ( less than five miles) my TPMS alerted me that my right rear tire was low. When I got home I used my tire inflator and it told me there was only 19 lbs of pressure in a tire that should read 38 psi!! That’s simply DANGEROUS!! I’m so glad I didn’t have far to drive to get home! Once again, tight schedules, untrained staff and long wait times and I finally have written them off! I’m now looking at using a locally owned tire shop that will hopefully care about their clients, their cars and their customer satisfaction. I’m sorry Discount got so careless and sloppy with their service but perhaps it’s time to get away from them!

I would give zero stars if I could. I scheduled an appointment at this Stone Mountain Discount Tire location for TPMS sensors to be installed and programmed. I asked the person who took my payment at the desk if they could program BMW TPMS sensors, and he told me yes. That was a lie. I wasn’t seen at my appointment time. Instead, they made me wait over 4 hours. I sat there and waited patiently. After they finally got on my car, I watched through the glass and saw they rushed the job. When I got my car back, they had installed the sensors but forgot to program them. All they did was install them. Because of that, I wasted money and had to go to another shop to have the programming done again. As they handed me my keys, they complained about doing my car, and they did not properly tighten my lug nuts. When I got my car back, I saw they had put some black substance on my lug nuts that was not there before. They also threw away parts from my car without my permission, and they put that substance on my lug nuts without my permission. When I brought this up, all they said was they are working on multiple cars so it’s just something from another car. I spoke with a manager on the phone named Ryan. His only response was, “I’m not going to look.” I drove up to the shop after the fact and explained all of this. They offered no help and said I was in the wrong because BMW parts need to be programmed at the dealership, even though the person who took my payment at the desk told me they could program BMW TPMS sensors. So they lied to get my payment and then refused to take responsibility. The manager, Ryan, was also extremely racist to me, along with that rude phone call. He mistook me for another Black person when I showed up again after my appointment didn’t go right. I stepped outside to take an important phone call, and Ryan interrupted my call and started calling me by another Black person’s name who was also there. That is racism thinking all Black people look the same and not wanting to help. Ryan has a superiority complex, always wants to be right, and doesn’t know how to take accountability. I want a full refund for everything I experienced and the time I wasted at this place. Do not go here. Avoid this location, especially if you are a minority.

Made appointment but waited 1 hour before my car was seen. I asked if they forgot about me & they became combative & said we take appointments every 15 minutes! How does this pertain to me? Also overheard worker say on the phone it will only take 45 minutes to 1 hour for service. Appointment doesn’t help at all here!

They suck. Absolutely no client contact on arrival. Least personal auto service i have met. Free rotation really is BS when you get no acknowledgement and they take an hour to get it done. These are new tires and the base price was fair, they added some fee for warranty that was not optional. That was June. Now getting rotation in October. Greetings and acknowledgement was poor. Then they were allowing someone to step in front of me after I waited for ten minutes to be acknowledged. Never again. Miss poor

Have done business with DT in Sanford, NC for a while now. Always get quick, polite, professional service, and answers to my questions. Have also had good experiences with DT at other locations.

Impressed! We were driving a friend's GMC Yukon and frankly were broke. One of the tires was very low and needed air immediately. After learning that Discount Tire would add air for free we went straight to the nearest store. The young man couldn't add air because the pressure was too low and policy wouldn't allow it. They would either fix the tire for free, provided it was legal to do so. If not, we would need to buy a new tire. We had to leave the vehicle over night but they did get it finished after hours. When we picked it up the next morning we learned that they WERE able to fix the tire. They rotated the tires and balanced them, too. The grand total out of pocket cost?... $0.00. I don't know if they can do this all the time. But I'll never go anywhere else to get anything worked on. I'll choose integrity, character and honor above hype and greed every time. This is how business used to be done. Well done Discount Tire! Going anywhere else just doesn't make sense. It was worth every second of the wait.
