I’m finally DONE with Discount Tire here in Reno NV!! The last few times I’ve used them something gets broken or missing off my car! Whether it’s center cap ( expensive pieces on a BMW), valve stem covers or not long ago they broke my trunk lid actuator! They paid for the replacement (their insurance company did) and it cost them nearly $600!! I’m not sure why this place went so downhill from when I started with them and I appreciate that there are Discount Tire store in most locations around where I might drive but they hire kids and don’t train them. The last straw was this season’s trade over to summer tires and when they finished the kid told me they were filled to the right specs and so on. On the way home from the store ( less than five miles) my TPMS alerted me that my right rear tire was low. When I got home I used my tire inflator and it told me there was only 19 lbs of pressure in a tire that should read 38 psi!! That’s simply DANGEROUS!! I’m so glad I didn’t have far to drive to get home! Once again, tight schedules, untrained staff and long wait times and I finally have written them off! I’m now looking at using a locally owned tire shop that will hopefully care about their clients, their cars and their customer satisfaction. I’m sorry Discount got so careless and sloppy with their service but perhaps it’s time to get away from them!

Made appointment but waited 1 hour before my car was seen. I asked if they forgot about me & they became combative & said we take appointments every 15 minutes! How does this pertain to me? Also overheard worker say on the phone it will only take 45 minutes to 1 hour for service. Appointment doesn’t help at all here!

First, watching the workers move around it the speed of snails is really aggravating. Would be acceptable if they actually knew what they are doing. I have bought several sets of tires there to later find that they dont know how to fix flats or maybe the company lawyers wont allow them to. Not only was I told they could not repair (free) the screw in the tire but also would not do the rotation (free) because of it. This situation has occurred twice only for me to go to the capable competitor down the street for the repair, no problem, except I had to pay for the service that Discount tire was supposed to do...for free! I'm done, will be buying my tires from the competitor from now on...

On May 23,2026 I came into the Discount Tire location in Bartlett, TN for an installation of 4 new tires on my 2014 Toyota Tundra pickup. I had already purchased the tires online from Discount Tire and scheduled the installation for that day. Later that day we left town traveling in the same vehicle when the tire pressure light illuminated. We discovered one of the tires had a slow leak. I was able to stop a couple of times to put more air in and we made it to Jonesboro Arkansas and stopped at the Discount Tire location there. After explaining the situation and troubleshooting the Jonesboro location determined the problem was the tire sensor was likely installed incorrectly and was damaged. They installed a new one and everything has been fine since. The service techs in Jonesboro did a great job. Fast forward to June 8, 2026 we brought in our 2008 Toyota Sequoia for installation of 4 new tires purchased and scheduled online with Discount tire and installation with the same Bartlett TN location. When the installation was finished we took the vehicle home (about 5-7 miles) and parked in our garage until June 13. While driving the vehicle on the other side of town the tire sensor light illuminated. My wife pulled into a Discount tire location on poplar ave in Memphis to have it looked at. The tech told my wife that while one tire was 33lb and the other 3 were 35lb the problem was probably a low/dead battery in one of the sensors and she should take it back to the Bartlett location to have them look at it. Two complete tire changes and two very similar issues after the fact and on top of that when we had an issue and stopped by the nearest Discount tire location we are told to go somewhere else? Once back at the Bartlett location we are now having to pay an additional $280.00 to replace all the sensors on this vehicle. Okay, what I don’t understand is that today the tech simply scanned the tire and told me the batteries where either low or dead. Why didn’t anyone do that on Monday June 8 when we were there for the original tire change? I’m sorry it has come to this however you have lost all of any future business from our family. We took a chance with you on these two purchases in a short time and in good conscience I will not refer anyone to your business and must warn others of your shortcomings.

On 11-18-25, Discount tire said that two of my tires were at 5/32 and two were at 4/32. On 12-3-25 the same Discount Tire said that per their machine all tires were at 3/32 but that they had to measure them by hand and according to the hand calculation, they were at 4/32. On 2-27-26, the same Discount Tire said measured all four tires at 5/32! So, it appears that even though I've driven only 32, 239 miles on tires warrantied for 65,000 miles that my tread will continue to increase so the warranty will never apply.

I want to start by saying the staff here is very polite. Anakin, who helped me at pick-up, was very nice and sincerely apologized for the store being understaffed. However, the scheduling and internal communication really need some improvement. I originally made an 8:20 AM appointment, but they called to explain my tires wouldn't arrive on their shipment until later in the day, so we moved it to 1:45 PM. I was assured the install would take no longer than an hour since I had an appointment. I arrived at 1:35 PM. There wasn't a long line to drop off my keys, but it still took quite a while to be helped. By 2:30 PM, the tracker app estimated my car would be done at 2:33 PM, yet my car wasn't even in the bay yet. It was finally completed at 3:08 PM. When I went to pick up my keys, I was next in line but still waited about 15 minutes to get help while a very long line formed behind me. The most confusing part was receiving a call at 4:17 PM from someone else at the shop telling me my tires had arrived and I could come in—long after I was already home with the tires installed! I understand the struggles of being short-staffed, but the internal tracking system could definitely use some work.

I’ve been a customer of Discount Tire for 10+ years. 12/15 at 4:07 pm wanting a tire rotation at store on East/West Connector, Marietta GA. Sitting 1 hour my car hasn't been touched, meanwhile they’re busy doing air checks on drive ups. 1-1/2 hrs my car still not touched. They close at 6 pm. This is unreasonable and not good customer service. What is happening to customer service and is customer loyalty no longer important?

Not a Pleasant Experience at Discount Tire (Tilch Rd, Macomb, MI) I went to Discount Tire on Tilch Rd. in Macomb, MI on Friday, October 10th, 2025, to purchase two tires. I spent a significant amount of time working with Audrey, the salesperson, who tried to order the tires for me since they weren't available in-store. I was told the tires would be in by Monday, and I specifically mentioned that I needed them by 1-2 PM EST. When it came to pricing, I noticed a discrepancy between the online price and the price quoted in-store. I asked both Audrey and the other person at the register about this, and I was told the tires were discontinued, with newer, more expensive ones available in the shop. I agreed to pay the higher price, as it was explained that the price in-store would apply, not the online price, and I was assured that I’d receive a call once the tires arrived. On Monday, October 13th, I received a call at 10:47 AM saying that my tires were ready and to bring the vehicle in. I did so, and was told I would be called once the installation was complete. However, by 2 PM, I hadn’t received any updates, so I called them myself to check on the status. Turns out, they had already installed the tires, but no one had bothered to reach out to me, as promised. When I asked about the lack of a call, I was told that for some reason, the system didn’t send me a text update. To make matters worse, I wasn’t informed that the tire pressure would be low until I drove the car for a bit. As a customer, I felt the communication was poor, and I was left dissatisfied with the overall service. Overall, my experience at this location was frustrating, especially with the lack of follow-through on the promises made by the staff. I expected better service and transparency.
