Thanks for your feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience and the delay associated with the prescription transfer. Unfortunately, we needed to contact you to gain your prescriber info as the refills you requested were not available at your previous pharmacy. We certainly hope that you give us another chance. -your Friends at DiRx

The experience was okay
The experience was okay. It took almost 2 weeks to get everything transferred, with no communication from DIRX, which was frustrating. As soon as I complained, things started to progress. Maybe I'm just impatient but the no communication got me.
Other than that, this is a fantastic service and the convenience of getting my meds delivered is invaluable ❤️

hours in the car no more
Thought without prescription insurance mom would forever have to sit in line in her car or standing. Thank you for shipping to her mailbox. She lives 30-45 minutes from the nearest big two that her medication was reasonable from - this is perfect for her maintenance medications.

I requested upgrading my shipping due to the holiday mailing crush and the company did exactly that. Therefore, I received my medications quickly. Really happy I placed my medications here.

You were a God Send
You were a God Send. I thought I would have to stop taking my cancer medication, when Pfizer decided to do away with their patient assistance program for my Aromasin. I tried to procure a prescription plan but I was told I would be penalized because I hadn’t had one before. I was really at my wits end until I discovered DirX.

poor operational execution of a brilliant pricing model
Rx transfers from pharmacist to pharmacist are as quick as a phone call every other mail/local pharmacy - my local pharmacist will have documented the phone transfer for auditors/regulatory reasons and filled my Rx. A transfer can take 1-2 weeks here - likely due to inadequate staffing of phones by pharmacists to make these outbound calls.
Rather than do a pharmacist call, it appears they use lesser-paid laymen staff to call the prescriber as a cost-saving measure. Most doctors can prescribe electronically, yet these staff with no sense of efficiency and capability (from lack of experience?) will settle for a fax - which actually takes the prescriber more time to fulfill than e-prescribing further delaying your medications.
A pharmacist can alscall a prescriber to obtain the Rx verbally and fill it minutes later. But they're not using pharmacists for this role.
Buyer beware - you get what you pay for. Don't expect a standard of service you have received everywhere else when this place is operating bare bones, and makes losses up by capital infused from venture capitalist funding who believe this model will work if enough customers sign up. Read up on Private Equity playbook - they sell in 3-5 years.
They know a % of orders will be handled least efficiently but the cost of consumer dissatisfaction for that % of orders doesn't outweigh the $ of orders that flow perfectly through the path of least resistance - meaning path that uses the least resources.
So know that unless your order is through that path of least resistance (e-scribed to a pharmacy that is not loaded to every integrated e-prescribing system as of yet), it won't be unusual for you to wait weeks to get the medicine in your hands from Florida, in a bulky box that won't fit in most mailboxes thus doesn't get delivered with your regular mail delivery. The path of least resistance also requires you to type in each Rx as prescribed as a new order, or face another delay of being contacted for notifying you the order you requested can not be filled as requested, because it doesn't match the prescribers instructions or quantity or dosing or package size, or strength - this can happen more often than you think because the pharmacy doesn't carry every strength or form and doesn't offer to order it which takes overnight at local pharmacies to order from their wholesale drug distributors. And don't expect the instant this occurs, an available staff member is standing by to instantly contact you to resolve the issue - you are put in a callback or contact email queue and that additional wait time varies by order volume and staffing.
All other mail order shippers use padded plastic envelopes to ship pill bottles which fit in mailboxes and delivered by your regular courier as a lightweight package. The problem with bulky boxes is 1) those get delivered by trucks driven by random drivers who may not know your building as well or have keys and instead leave a missed delivery note for you to goto the post office in person during business hours and waiting 20 minutes in line to pick up your missed package - or you call or go online to reschedule delivery but what good is that if the driver doesn't have a master key to your building or mailroom (common in large multi-unit residential buildings). They may ring your doorbell but would you be home at that exact random moment?
Also note a max of 3 bottles fit in a box due to extra wasteful internal packaging to display up to three bottles neatly in slots, which doesn't work in practice after being jostled through the mail system. So if you have more than 3 bottles, you will have more than 1 box to deal with. They're about the size of half a shoebox. Hope you're not walking your dog on your trip to pick up these bulky boxes with one hand and your dog leash in the other. Won't work too well, only one box fits in 1 hand and they are too light to stack - the top box will topple with minimal inertia from walking or wind.
This business model is great if we lived in a perfect world. Tells you a lot about the experience and operational execution of this leadership team who are disrupting with pricing but are bottom of the barrel for operational efficiency, customer experience, and delivery/service standards common in the industry for several decades.
Don't expect to be able to see your active refillable prescriptions listed online for easy refill and managing the timeline to request a new Rx sent when refills are near empty. You won't see any of these details. You have to manually track this on your own to be able to place a refill, and type the entire Rx details all over just as if it was a new Rx - including prescriber name, number, drug, dose, shipping address, payment method, etc. If you don't have this info, you can contact them, but you still have to finish ordering online.
