Hi there. . The delay associated with your order is becoming more common as cash-pay pharmacies like DiRx evolve. Your previous pharmacy refused to fax your prescription to us and would only transfer the prescription to us verbally. This is happening more and more as large pharmacies try to reduce lost prescriptions. In a situation like this both our pharmacist and their pharmacist have to be available to speak to transfer the prescription. This can be a significant challenge as the pharmacist is typically the busiest person in the building! But, thank you for hearing me out and giving us another chance. Be well!

Hi Ingrid. You ask a good question. The reality is that every order's journey is different. For most people, you go to the doctor and before you leave the doctor asks where you would like your prescriptions sent. When people come to DiRx, they typically already have a prescription on file with another pharmacy. So, the process to obtain your prescription from your provider or another pharmacy often times involves multiple voice messages, verifying the request with the patient, or waiting on hold to speak to a pharmacist to get a prescription transferred. Most of the time, the process moves pretty quick. But, in some instances, the communication stream gets bogged down. I hope that this information helps. And, we appreciate your feedback. Be well!
