Recently retired + now receiving Medicare benefits. Chose Devoted HMO through eHealth. Just had first visit w/ CNP Nicole Ortega.
This was a mistake. Devoted + eHealth won't listen to you + will harrass you continuously with phone calls. Ms Ortega is clearly in business to help the HMO ...not her patients.
Avoid making the mistakes I did.

Not a fan
Not a fan. They can't be based in USA as everyone I've delt with is heavily accented in their speech. India?
They don't appear to know what they are doing. They call daily asking if a patient is still in the hospital...daily. unnecessary! They constantly ask for patient records but do Not give timely updates on days authorized. It's like pulling teeth! The reps that call daily, know nothing and don't give updates.
They waste the time of those they keep calling.
Do Not recommend!

Take time to look further so you will not be disappointed as I was
At first I was appreciative of this insurance but almost immediately there were issues. Finally they have a program where they reimburse you on health products and so I confirmed the fact that they were going to reimburse a smart scale. At that point they went in detail about you know the smart products that they support etc etc however after taking month asking me for more details about the purchase finally they deny it. I wouldn't have even got the product if I've not talked to them first and they specifically said you know they were supportive of smart equipment etc etc only for like I say they kept disputing the taxes on the product and so I finally just resubmitted without the taxes even though as an American we do pay taxes. So finally the day even though every time I talk to anybody there's always going to be somebody to call me back and explain further this is before they denied me but like I said they spent a month telling me they need further details even though I supplied the receipt from the beginning then they told me about the taxes. Finally I just submitted a new claim subtracting the taxes. I follow up today as no one still has ever returned my call and now I'm seeing where they refund was refused. Because now all the sudden they're not going to refund smart scales

Seniors beware of devoted advantage plan
DEVOTED ADAVANTAGE PLAN SENIORS BEWARE!!!!
My experience, Devoted has been a moving target, bait and switch type company. Once you have an issue, amoung many, short or non payments. You'll talk to some of the nicest people ever. They have no power! Nothing will change. The bills won't be paid. They're not accepted by many providers. They vasilate on both health and prescription coverage. they lure with lower premiums, saying, you'll have a few more co-pays and some, higher than others..blah, blah, more fluff than substantive needed coverage. I'd been better off with Medicare and a supplement. Now I'm struggling to get out of an advantage plan. My experience, Devoted most always short pays the bill. Small amounts mostly, but some large. I'm hooked for over $800.00 so far, i just found out. I've had to cancel a serious heart procedure, cant get an estimate for knee replacement, because my portion to pay keeps changing. You get gibberish when you call for the reason. Apparently hoping you wont notice. They short pay treatments, minor amounts, and delay payments by lengthy reimbursement papers to fill out. They lay obstacles of andmistative bs at you in every way to avoid getting the bill paid or reimbursement. They're nice enough on the phone, but do little to resolve your bills. Other than send out endless papers for you to fight over with your doctor.
They have the nerve to try to avoid coverage of the glp1. You have to pay the full plan deductible 400.00plus. Meicare patients pay 50.00.
Devoted is exhausting and unpredictable. Seniors beware!!!!
Im looking at some possibilities of legal class action.

I moved from Missouri to Mississippi and Devoted...
I moved from Missouri to Mississippi, and called Devoted
They offer coverage in Mississippi, so I applied for coverage under one of their 'give back' plans that pay Medicare premiums.
When they cancelled my Missouri policy, they also cancelled my Mississippi policy which I was unaware of.
I called to see why the 'give back' amount was not showing on my Social Security check and was told it could take up to 4 months.
I called back to give them my new address, and was told about my Mississippi policy accidentally being cancelled. I was assured it would be fixed. I called back 10 days later. The issue still was not fixed.
They did eventually fix my policy so I had no gap in insurance, but I have yet to receive any of the 'give back' amount.
It has now been 5 months.
I called Devoted, who told me to call Social Security. Insinuating it was a problem on their end. Social Security said they haven't received any transactions from them since I moved. I called Devoted and was told the issue would be resolved in 48 hours.
I finally got a call from one of their agents who says we need to do a conference call with social security. I've already talked to social security. I simply need Devoted to fulfill their side of the contract.
I'll be changing insurers when open enrollment comes.

Devoted Healthcare's Service Rep
Devoted Healthcare's Service Rep. in El Paso, after
consulting with her supervisor for 15 minutes promised and assured me that Devoted would pay for my root canal on a $200 / month re-imbursement. I was with this plan for six months
I was with this plan for six months. Nothing but problems! I call to get list of network dental providers. I was told I could keep using my same dentist except I would need to file reimbursement. The person even sent me the link to use when I was ready. Had three claims same month they paid one and said the others were out of network when all the visits were to the same provider! I went to the grocery store and the OTC would not approve my benefits at the register I called in. I was told to just go ahead and pay for it, and they would reimburse me. I sent in a clear copy of the receipt with the store and the date. I purchased 22 items. First I was told they never got the request for reimbursement. I asked for it to be escalate it for supervisor I never got a call back then when I call back, I was told I never requested a call back then I was told it was denied because none of my items were eligible even though I bought the same items I’ve been buying. Then I was told the date and store was not on the receipt, which was a lie. Requested a call back again then I was told I was permanently denied reimbursement. To this day, no one has ever sent me anything in writing explaining that my reimbursement request was denied and why and no one has ever returned a single phone call.
Try to use my vision benefit. They gave me a list of providers that took the plan. None of the three they provided me took the plan. Spent an hour on the phone with them while at a vision center. They had referred me to finally after 45 minutes, a representative said oh you have to tell them it’s premier vision. Nobody ever said that before. This plan is the worst, totally unprofessional, totally untrained staff. Do not waste your time with this plan. It could be good because it has good benefits, but very limited coverage and super bad Customer Service help.
