We got married at Generations Riviera Maya, an excellent recommendation by Pamela, our travel agent! The resort staff were pleasant and attentive to all our needs. Pamela is well informed and kept us up to date through out the process. We are very happy with the service that we received and highly recommend Destination Weddings.

Sandra White was our travel coordinator and she was patient and kind. I had to reschedule twice. When the pandemic hit I thought my wedding was doomed but she helped me and my guests reschedule. She answered all questions and concerns. I’m very grateful for her help.

Tom Starrett, our destination wedding specialist at destinationweddings.com, was absolutely amazing to work with throughout our entire wedding planning process, and I cannot recommend his services highly enough. We booked our venue in Riviera Maya right before the pandemic, had our wedding in April 2021, and from start to finish Tom helped us to stay organized, informed, and prepared, providing us with constant updates and helpful tips on the resort (Secrets Akumal), covid policies in the area, travel restrictions, activity recommendations, etc. He helped provide valuable info on different resorts in the area when we were choosing the venue- my husband and I had never traveled to Riviera Maya prior to the wedding, and because of Tom's input we were able to pick a resort that was ideal for our group's needs without ever seeing it in person. He also organized the transportation for all 80 of our guests to and from the airport, saving our group a lot of time and money, and helped us to get the best possible deal on a wedding package at the resort. He also made sure to check in with me routinely to make sure I was staying organized and on track, which was extremely helpful. In spite of the chaos in planning a wedding this past year, Tom was consistently professional, kind, positive, and very responsive, often getting back to any emails I sent him within an hour or less (and I sent a lot of them!). He went out of his way to make sure our guests felt safe and informed traveling internationally to the resort, and we had many friends and family mention how much they appreciated his help and attention to detail. Planning a wedding in 2020 was not the easiest, but Tom and destinationweddings.com definitely made the process as stress-free as possible and we are so grateful that we were able to work with him in planning our wedding!

I am writing to tell your company that Heather Whittle is the BEST. She has been there every step of the way for my Son & his Fiance. I am sure Covid has made her job even more difficult than normal. Her constant communication has made this less stressful for the Bride & Groom. Although it has been a very disappointing, long year. ‼️DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY‼️ I'm very hesitant to leave businesses a bad review, however, using DestinationWeddings.com to book the group for our wedding in Cancun was the absolute worst experience all the way around. Terrible customer service and lack of communication with minimal effort whatsoever throughout our entire experience, which ended in our WEDDING GETTING CANCELLED 2 DAYS BEFORE, due to Hurricane Delta! As if a couple needs more on their plate after going through that, there was little to no communication regarding our options or helpful next steps and we have been fighting to get refunds since October! Not due to Covid delays either. This company only cares about money in their and the resort's pocket, nothing about a couple's wedding getting ripped out from under them and their entire group's travel plans ruined. After three months of waiting on refund status, since we had purchased travel protection, our "specialist" communicated our refunds would be processed and returned (this was in Jan) Here we are Mid-April and the company is saying it was an "error" and our group will only be given credits to use before the end of THIS year, but not guaranteed our original rate!! This company will not have your group's best interest in mind and will go back on their word, if you can get them to communicate. I highly recommend looking for a travel agency local to your area who will be clear and helpful every step of the way, one who will communicate effectively and treat your group as if they were part of it. In these hard times, we're expecting a full refund from the company due to airlines being shut down completely. Instead of trying to find a way of reimbursement, we are being constantly updated for scenarios to bypass this pandemic and continuously having false hope of our awaited holiday. It's not write to keep our money hostage especially during this pandemic.

Heather is a phenomenal travel agent! We have been struggling with our front line work and trying to manage the ever changing policies in Ontario, which prevented us from having our wedding twice! Heather was there all the way and took the stress off our shoulders dealing with the everchanging climate of the tour operator and the hotel. She was clear and concise in her communication and very personable and relatable. I cannot thank her enough for how much she helped me and my Fiancée with everything and kept us in the know whenever a change occurred, even over the holidays! If you are looking for your dream destination wedding consultant/agent, Heather is the only way to go! thanks again Heather!

I wish I could give this company 0 stars. I have been trying now for two weeks to speak with someone from customer service to resolve an issue I am having with a friend's upcoming wedding. I believe they are waiting as long as possible to respond so it is too late to remedy a solution. Terrible customer service, pandemic or not.
