Terrible company!!!! Placed an order told them i needed it in one week payed an additional 25.00 shipping fee to guarantee getting it in time. James called me 5 days later telling me he was having a problem with my credit card(tried charging it twice)and wouldn't be able to get it me in the 1 week.I told james to cancel the order and he told me no!!!! I told him there was no problem with my credit card and he called me an idiot!!! He then told me he was hitting me with a 25% restocking fee and to try fighting it.I hung up on him and ordered from crutchfield and it got shipped free 2 days later(by the way a pleasure to deal with). Do yourself a favor and don't order from these shady crooks! Sometimes its not worth it trying to save a few bucks!

Spoke to James on the phone to verify speakers I wanted were in stock. Stated they were, so placed an order. After placing the order, noticed their FAQ says they price match. Sent a question as to whether they would do so, after I placed the order. The response was "Sorry we can not because as discussed yesterday they do not have the products on stock and we do. We can ONLY beat a price if a store physically has the items in stock. I explained this to you yesterday! I won't process your order for now because these are terms that you u have called and confirmed prior to placing your order not after." I thanked him for the response and asked him to continue the order as was currently submitted. Within 10 minutes, the response was "Sorry now I sold out of the R5502.". I immediately cancelled the order for the two rude comments (first I forgave, but second was just shady business practice) and called my funding company and requested a stop payment effective immediately (as I didn't trust my money would not disappear). Have since reordered via another company and verification has been sent the products are on the way the same day order was placed.

Same as the other reviewer that gave this company 1 star. THEY ARE NOT AUTHORIZED DEALERS. So whatever product they claim to have that is "New", is not! It can be a fake, used or refurbished item. If you try to cancel, they will try to charge you 25% stocking fee, unless you fight against it. FALSE ADVERTISING, and a breach of contract the minute they claim they are selling new products, when they are not even authorized to sell the product. As a breach of contract, you are not obliged to pay any restocking or shipping fee, because they did not hold their end of the deal, the minute they claimed that they are selling new products. Company sales man also called my phone, threatened to come find me, and called me a Dirty Muslim. Please stay away from these racist conmen.

I would consider using Designer again in the future as this was my 2nd purchase from them in the last 3 years. Ordered Definitive Technology tower speakers which were hard to find because they were discontinued. They arrived in great condition and were new. Thanks.

Highly questionable ordering process... I ordered a Definitive Technology ProMonitor speaker. I received the order number, and then a day later a follow-up email from "sales" with the following message: "Your order #20011xxxx has been updated to: Canceled. Sorry we can not sell only 1 pc. These are priced individually for marketing reasons but must be sold as a pair." The product description on the website clearly states "Available individually". I replied back to the email asking for clarification since it doesn't say anywhere that two units must be purchased. No reply back (4 days now). If you do decide to order something from designeraudiovideo (dot) com, I strongly recommend you to take a screenshot of the ordering process pages so you can hold them accountable and keep everybody honest. Anticipate sales or customer service team to be slow or non-responsive.

A actual customer review of this place! I ordered two tower speakers and one center speaker! Found out they are not a authorized dealer and wanted to cancel my order! They refused to cancel it over the phone. I tried over and over with email they jacked me around long enough so they could ship it and at a minimum charge me a restocking fee 25%!!!! and shipping both ways! They got it shipped so I couldn't stop the payment through my bank and once they got my money they rerouted the package! Yes they have my money and the products back I ordered! I will be filing with the FTC , Attorney General, BBB THIS shouldn't happen to consumers! Take this how you wish but this is what happened to me!

Called a competitor of Designer Audio to order a Definitive Technology system prior to discovering Designer Audio Video, needless to say my experience with the competitor was horrible and an overall nightmare. After being burnt by another online etailer I was hesitant ordering anything online however, with many great reviews on the web about them I called to reassure myself that they were in fact legit and my doubts were instantly out to rest as I felt very humbled by the sakes man who knew more about the merchandise than the customer service representative I spoke with at Definitive Technology prior to ordering for assistance in setup for my system. James was very friendly and really cared about my purchase by taking time to help me answer questions and find me a receiver which they didn't even sell. My experience was superior to none with Designer Audio Video. As of today 3 weeks later my system was just installed by Best Buy gerk squad and sounds amazing in bith my theater room and my whole home audio. I purchased all Definitive speakers from them and a 500 ft spool of 14 guage speaker wire by Monster cable for $250. Again guys, thank you so much with everything, and if anyone needs to think twice about shopping with Designer Audio Video - Don't!

Ordered a Martin Logan Stage X and received the product that was defective and when I returned it to be replaced, I received the same unit back that was still defective. Unacceptable experience with this company. DesignerAudioVideo never resolved the issue.
