DesigneraudiovideoReviews of designeraudiovideo.com

I recently bought 2 in-ceiling Definitive Technology speakers. They arrived is great condition and sound fantastic. I saved a lot of money buying through Designer Audio Video. I did order in mid-October and didn't receive them until early January, but there have been lots of delays getting various products out of Asia because of container shortages in the news and this was a challenge out of the hands of Designer Audio Video. If your needs are not time sensitive, then I would purchase from Designer Audio Video. I would purchase these speakers again even knowing of the delay.

Designer AudioVideo is not an authorized dealer of any electronics they sell, but they do advertise their own included warranty on their website, that is stated to be equal to the manufactures warranty. They state that if you have a problem with a product, then simply contact them and they will either repair or replace the product. I purchased 2 speakers from them on May 28th, 2018 and one of the speakers began to distort a few months after I purchased. Because they were new, I thought it must be because of my speaker wire or the amplifier. I changed both and still the one speaker distorted, thus determined defective. The manufactures warranty is 2 years. I have contacted Designer AudioVideo 3 times over a 6 week period, about filing a warranty claim. The first two times a company representative contacted me back and said they would look into the matter and get back to me. They never got back to me. The third time I contacted the company, no one returned my contact to them. I filed a complaint with the NY BBB March 8th, 2019. So far, Designer AudioVideo has not responded to the complaint. I looked into filing a small claims suit. I needed to find out where they are located to file in the appropriate court. I could not find a physical location for Designer Audio Video anywhere on the internet. I looked on my cc statement and Designer Audio Video had charged my cc from an address for the company that when I looked it up on maps, it was a residential apartment building.

They sent my order to a different address. Very poor customer support. Called and they asked me to send an email. After a couple of weeks not hearing back they were annoyed from my call asking the status of my order, then they hang up on me. this is unacceptable!

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! If I could give this company zero stars, I would! I was searching for a Martin Logan 50xt center channel to surprise my boyfriend. This website popped up to be the least expensive so I purchased it from them. The shipping was estimated to be 10-15 days for free shipping but I knew this up front so I opted for that to get free shipping. The item arrived by UPS and the box looked horrible (not damaged). It appeared to have been shipped that way. There were shipping labels that had been removed from the side the whole boxed was taped was wrapped with packing tape. It basically looked like a return item they decided to pawn off on me. When I opened the box I immediately noticed that the top right corner of the speaker was damaged. I called them and they asked me to send them photos by replying to my order email. I did so within 30 minutes of receiving the item. After the email was sent, I received a few calls from a BLOCKED number. I didn't answer the first couple of times not even considering it was them calling. On the third call, I picked it up and it was the company asking me to box the item back up and that UPS was going to pick it up for a damage inspection claim. I told them I needed them to respond to my email stating they planned on replacing my item before I would allow UPS to pick it up. I asked them when they planned on shipping out a new speaker and they said right away. No email ever showed up. I called 3 more times and finally got an email back from them. Every time I spoke to them on the phone they were obnoxiously RUDE and spoke to me in a condescending manner, completely unprofessional manner. After finally receiving email confirmation that they were going to replace it, I allowed UPS to pick up the item. Feeling uncomfortable about the whole situation, I placed a temporary dispute on the item with my credit card to protect myself. Days went by and I didn't receive any shipping information for the replacement speaker. I called a few times and every time, they were extremely rude. The last time I spoke with them, the JERK that I spoke with said there is a process and I needed to just wait. I expressed my concern about them having my money and speaker and me having nothing and he said I had to wait until UPS made a decision on the damage claim and they received their item back. I told him I wasn't willing to do that and the damage claim was between them and UPS. He said he would refund me and to suck his D#$K, B&T@H and hung up on me. If you want to deal with JERKS that cuss you out and try to rip you off by sending damaged, returned equipment, then feel free to buy from this company!

Did not know they were not an authorized reseller. Just got what I ordered and shipping was decent speed, they just shipped in boxes speakers came with. Everything looks good but upon closer examination the serial # location is blank. Very suspect of my order being fake goods, makes me feel cheated out of 500 hard earned dollars.

Ordered for the first time and I was extremely pleased all around. Between the free shipping the great prices and the great packaging, you can't go wrong thank you

Horrible and unprofessional. I placed an order only to be told the product is unavailable and my order has to be canceled. SHADY!

“DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS BUSINESS!! They entice you with a low price, but they are not an authorized dealer and do not even have what they list for sale in stock. I ordered speakers from them on 4/23. It is now May 19 and they still have not even received the item to ship to me. Despite all of this they wanted to charge me a 20% restocking fee to cancel my order. What a joke! Their reasoning behind this is because they oversold the item by taking 5 orders for only two incoming units and they had to already cancel orders for other people. Why the hell would you sell 5 pairs when you can only get 2?! I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money. James is a straight thief. BEWARE!! THIS BUSINESS IS RUN BY CROOKS!! ”
