Fun and Challenging games! Very communicative company if anything is missing or damaged in box. Have been playing these games for YEARS and can't get enough! Great price for the (about) 3 hours spent solving each box!

Great mysteries. Reasonably priced. We really like the diversity of the clues. Just don't move to Valley Falls! That's where the mysteries are centered!

Deadbolt Mystery Society boxes are more advanced and fun than a lot of the other murder mystery games we've played. I figured out the pattern that another well known mmg uses and ever since then they've been boring. Deadbolt games leave me much more satisfied and excited. I will say all of the qr codes and use of phone/internet are annoying, especially because you can't lay all of the evidence out for everyone to see and organize it. Other than that, love the games and will order more.

When it comes to QR codes, here are a couple of tips if you haven't tried these: 1. Unlock the QR code and screenshot the information. You can then text this to anyone else in the group for them to see. 2. Have everyone in your group use the password to unlock the QR code on their devices so they can see the information.

I was so excited to receive my mystery box. I love escape room and scary movies! I purchased Last Resort. The clues are damn near impossible to figure out. There is NO way people figured out these clues without using the hints. It was so difficult I ended up throwing my box away. I am definitely not satisfied and will NEVER purchase another mystery box again. You need to make the mystery box more user friendly.

Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback about your experience. This is definitely not what we hope to have be the result. Our boxes go through an extensive testing process to make sure that they are solvable without hints. Before our mysteries go to print, we test with single testers, group testers, brand new testers (never solved a mystery before), veteran testers (solved many mysteries before), testers with advanced college degrees, testers without high school diplomas, and testers with other variables. We do this to refine the product and to make the product as user-friendly as possible. The box that you mentioned throwing away, Last Resort, was voted by our DMS members as the DMS 2021 Box of the Year as denoted by the gold ribbon on the box cover. This award means that out of all monthly subscription boxes that we released in 2021, this was the DMS member favorite. Again, we are sorry that this was your experience.

We have ordered and played no fewer than a dozen single box and mini-games. They are amazing! The website gives you the difficulty level, so you can decide if you want to do a quick, casual solving session, or spend an evening (or two...). When we get stuck, their hints/clues are easy to follow, and when all else fails, they give all the puzzle solutions. We LOVE Deadbolt.
