Love the product. Late delivery
The product is always great but we've been waiting on our order for over 2 weeks even though it said 3-4 days when we purchased. I don't mind waiting I just like to know ahead of time so I can planning purchases accordingly.

October = Halloween???
A little disappointed in their October subscription box. It was related to fairytales, verses anything related to Halloween (not very scary). Don't get me wrong, they have several NON-SUBSCRIPTION Halloween themed boxes, I just think they want us to spend even more money than we already are paying for a Halloween-themed box. Not the best way to treat your regular customers.

Hey Vince, we are sorry to hear that you are disappointed. The last two mysteries before Mystery at the Fairytale Ball related to serial killers and urban legends. Mystery at the Fairytale Ball involved people dressing up in costume to go to a ball. Halloween isn't about scares for everyone. For many people, it's about dressing up in costume, just like what happened in Mystery at the Fairytale Ball. We create additional mysteries because we have had an overwhelming request to create those. We have released special Christmas boxes the last few years, had a special Halloween box last year and this year, and also released a Valentine's mystery this year. Everyone doesn't celebrate Halloween. Also, we announce the theme of each monthly mystery at the beginning of the month. You can go in at any time and skip a month if you don't like the theme, or you can email our customer service team to take care of that. We appreciate you and your feedback.

Not much bang for your buck
It was okay but kind of short for the price tag. REPLY: I bought it on discount for about 18 which i think was a good price point for the experience but the normal sub price is a bit steep for what you get. We did enjoy it but I've had better experiences at lower price points so I would say if this was a $15-$20 sub I would probably have kept it.

The game is great
The game is great. My only problem is the box came completely crushed. This was disappointing since it was a gift.

Not very intuitive
I'm a HUGE Escape Room, Escape the Crate, and Mystery Box fan. I've found that Deadbolt Mystery Society boxes do not have a very clear direction. The material that is printed is well done and while the boxes are OK, I find myself having to look at the hints because there isn't really a 'flow' to the game. I find after checking the hints, the path to go on is convoluted, and what they've instructed to look at doesn't necessarily tie into the current path. Some of the hints are spot on and I have a 'duh' moment, but other times I have no idea how I was supposed to know to look at 'XXXX'. I've done 4 boxes so far and some are better than others. Would give a 7/10
