A little disappointed in their October subscription box. It was related to fairytales, verses anything related to Halloween (not very scary). Don't get me wrong, they have several NON-SUBSCRIPTION Halloween themed boxes, I just think they want us to spend even more money than we already are paying for a Halloween-themed box. Not the best way to treat your regular customers.

Hey Vince, we are sorry to hear that you are disappointed. The last two mysteries before Mystery at the Fairytale Ball related to serial killers and urban legends. Mystery at the Fairytale Ball involved people dressing up in costume to go to a ball. Halloween isn't about scares for everyone. For many people, it's about dressing up in costume, just like what happened in Mystery at the Fairytale Ball. We create additional mysteries because we have had an overwhelming request to create those. We have released special Christmas boxes the last few years, had a special Halloween box last year and this year, and also released a Valentine's mystery this year. Everyone doesn't celebrate Halloween. Also, we announce the theme of each monthly mystery at the beginning of the month. You can go in at any time and skip a month if you don't like the theme, or you can email our customer service team to take care of that. We appreciate you and your feedback.

When this box arrives, we are ready for a great date night! An evening of cooperation and bonding is at hand as my husband and I work together to solve the mystery. And if he's not in the mood to play, I enjoy a fun afternoon or evening alone with the mystery. Its also a great way to bring families or friends together. Fun, excellent team building time.

The beginning of every month is a party in an escape room. We, and most of our family have been loyal members for over three years. These also make great full or half gift memberships and individual box gifts for friends and family, especially the holiday, Christmas box. Also very easy to gift memberships to deployed mystery aficionados giving them a nice taste of the USA. We have contests between the member households to see which family can solve the monthly box the fastest and obtain bragging rights for the month. We all love that each monthly box/ mystery is independent and stands on its own requiring no previous or future boxes to build on. The Dead Bolt Mystery Society, is the second best thing to come out of Tupelo, Mississippi. Thank you, thank you very much.

Entertaining and Challenging Mysteries all set within a broad fictional universe. Though many stories do contain Easter Eggs to tales past, you generally do not need to have played past games to enjoy the self-contained stories. Add to that a very responsive and top-notch Customer Service Team, and you'll see why I have taken the time and the money to purchase every box available.
