Crunch Fitness in Fayetteville Arkansas is a grift. They have a lot of equipment but the machines are often broken and they wait months to fix them. The entire place is disgustingly dirty. There are dust and hair ball blowing around the floor of the whole place. You can get on the ground in the stretching are to do planks etc. without breathing them. I've asked the staff to vacuum the place numerous times. They always say they will and they never do. The same hair balls are in the stretching area for months. They absolutely go months without vacuuming. The men's sauna is gross. The college guys go in there in street clothes and shoes and the floor is covered in mud with nasty stuff growing in the corners because it hasn't been cleaned in months. Financially the place is a grift. Once they get your credit card number they will keep billing you for all kinds of charges that you never agreed to. They won't let you quit and will want you to pay an additional 2 months before you quit. It is not immediate. If you try to call you get an AI that can't help you. If you tell it it repeatedly you need to talk to a really person it will tell you the people at the front desk are not available and they are never available. I strongly advise against joining this gym.

I signed up for my local Crunch Fitness before it opened. Shortly afterward, I got an injury that prevented me from using the gym. I decided to keep paying because I expected to recover, but unfortunately that hasn’t happened. I never checked into the gym or used my membership a single time. When I contacted the local club, the manager explained that he did not have the authority to approve a membership refund, which I understood. During that conversation, he also discovered that I had somehow been charged the annual maintenance fee twice (approximately $120 total). Those duplicate charges were refunded. However, the manager told me my request for a refund of the remaining membership charges would be forwarded to corporate for review. Since then, I have sent multiple follow-up emails to both the local club and Crunch Member Services and have not received a response regarding that request. I’m not disputing that I signed up for the membership. I’m simply asking Crunch to review my situation because I never had the opportunity to use the facility due to my injury and have made every effort to resolve this professionally. At this point, my biggest frustration isn’t even the refund itself. it’s the lack of communication after being told corporate would review my request.

I would give zero stars if I could. It’s a nice facility, but their administrative practices are terrible. If you need to cancel, they will continue to charge you over and over and over and over. And Jenna at the front desk was the most rude employee I have ever seen anywhere. I would highly recommend that you stay far far away. Planet fitness has got to be better.

This company genuinely needs to be investigated. When you cancel, they have you sign on the spot without showing you or explaining terms first. You’re actually agreeing to pay a termination fee with no documentation and no explanation given. It’s unethical if nothing else.

I want to share my experience with Crunch Fitness so others can make an informed decision before signing up. In December 2025, I signed up for a membership before the gym officially opened. The salesperson told me that my membership would not begin until the gym opened and I actually started using it. Based on that information, I agreed to join. When the gym opened in May, I was surprised to see charges begin immediately, regardless of whether I had actually started using the facility. This was not what I was led to believe when I signed up. I was also told there was no cancellation fee. Unfortunately, when I decided to cancel within the first 90 days, I learned that I would still be responsible for the annual fee and additional charges. None of this was clearly explained to me during the sales process. My experience left me feeling misled. The promises made by the salesperson did not match the actual terms of the membership. Had the fees, billing timeline, and cancellation policy been explained honestly and transparently, I would have made a different decision. I encourage anyone considering a Crunch Fitness membership to read every line of the contract before signing and not rely solely on what is said during the sales presentation. Ask for every promise in writing, including when billing begins, cancellation policies, annual fees, and any other charges. I believe customers deserve transparency and honesty when making financial commitments. Unfortunately, that was not my experience, and I cannot recommend Crunch Fitness based on how my membership was sold.

Do your research before you go! Read comments and reviews. My college age daughter signed up at Crunch for a year membership. A day later she saw a package that best suited her for her summer home from college. She asked if she could change to the other membership. They agreed and said they canceled the membership AND they said they would, as a courtesy, refund her ~$100 sign up fee. She was never refunded, they still charge her for the monthly fee. She went up there in person to discuss and the manager CALLED THE POLICE on them. The police were on my families side and the manager said, ‘I didn’t call you here to be on their side.’ Or something to that effect. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND! They aren’t trying to give you a plan that fits you, they just want you to sign up and NO refunds.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I wish I had read the reviews before I signed up with them. I was incorrectly charged $110 by Crunch Fitness in Athens, Georgia, in March. After reporting the issue to my trainer, he acknowledged it as a mistake and advised me to dispute it with my credit card company. I did so, but Crunch Fitness never responded with the required information so the charge was not reversed. After this, I was charged an additional $110 two more times, bringing the total incorrect charges to $330. Despite repeated attempts over the past three months, everyone at the gym has acknowledged that a refund is due, but no action has been taken. Withholding a refund for money you acknowledge was incorrectly charged if blatant theft in my opinion.
