NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF I COULD GIVE **ZERO** STARS, I WOULD!!!!!!
Over the years, I have been a member at many gyms and have paid my membership dues always on time (and sometimes early); however, **NEVER** have I encountered a gym that has not only disregarded my request to cancel my membership IN PERSON due to Covid-19 and having lost my job, but also after I had been a DEDICATED member for well over two years!! Not only did Crunch Fitness refuse my verbal, in-person request to cancel my membership, but when I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that they were “unavailable” and that I needed to call the 888 number to cancel my membership. And, so I did (many times), and each and every time, the result was a pre-recorded system that would automatically hang up at the end so that you could never leave a voice message or have the opportunity to actually speak with a HUMAN!! In addition, I went out of the way to email the corporate office several times, but without any luck. Finally, as a last resort, I went to my bank and placed a “stop payment” on my Crunch Fitness membership simply because there were no other options left that I hadn't already tried to do! With all of this stated, IT IS VERY CLEAR TO ME where Crunch Fitness’s priorities lie. They're more invested in taking your money rather than taking care of YOU — the customer!! You can be a dedicated member just like I was, but just realize that, in the end, you don't matter.
To make matters worse, little did I know that down the road, after placing the "stop payment" on my Crunch Fitness membership, I would receive a notice in the mail from a COLLECTIONS AGENCY, stating that I owed money!!!!!!! I WAS DISGUSTED!!!!!! This has never happened to me before, and it just comes to show the degree that this company was willing to go to in order to screw over a dedicated customer who sincerely tried to do everything necessary to properly cancel my membership!!
You can rest assured that I will be certain to inform others to NEVER give Crunch Fitness their business!!!!! Crunch Fitness doesn’t care about you! They care only about taking your money, and that's the bottom line!! If I could give them **ZERO** STARS, I certainly would!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I could give 0 stars I would.
I was bullied into a 1 year membership during my trial and promised i could cancel anytime no charge. I tried to cancel a few months later, and they wouldnt let me without paying $300 to cancel early. So i decided towait until my year was up and cancel. I canceled the membership at the one year mark and stopped paying them, and they've apparently sent me to collections for $215. I called their number to try and straightne this out and guess what!! IT WONT CONNECT ME TO ANYONE. THIS IS ACTUALLY RUINING MY LIFE.

just bad buisness
middle of an airborne pandemic and they won't accept that maybe I don't want to spend time in a building with a bunch of heavily breathing random strangers... tried to cancel my membership after a year and they claim the last five months don't count as actual time because of the pandemic and so to cancel I will need to pay an extra fee... just awful

It's pandemic and they still require you to send a USPS "certified" letter for cancellation. Is this even legal?

I signed up for Crunch Fitness right…
I signed up for Crunch Fitness right before Covid hit. I only had the chance to attend one class prior to them closing down. I called right before the closure requesting to cancel my membership since I had just started a week or two before. They refused. Months go by during the closure and I start to get charged the monthly fee, then the semi animal fee hit the day they opened back up. The only reason I signed up is to attend 2 specific classes, which they no longer offered. I called and requested to cancel again at that time and was refused. I got into discussions with a manager who only offered to freeze my membership but not cancel it. By this time I had been charged over $100 and was not able to use the classes I had signed up for, nor could I cancel my membership so I called my credit card company to dispute the charges. I have since received a threatening letter from a law firm stating that if I do not immediately pay $47.52 they will report to my credit. I am furious. Terrible service from a company I never who's services I never even got to use. I will be warning others about joining this deceptive gym.
