Absolutely terrible company. Stay away. No covid practices. So greedy. Randomly charges $40 for admin fees. Customer service does not reply at all meanwhile my account is being charged.
I've been trying to cancel but the company does not even comply. They redirect you to freeze.

Scam artist with shady practices
Scam artist with shady practices.
Run far away from any facility they have.
They stole money from my account without sending me notice they were open after being shutdown due to Covid and when I asked to see proof that they sent email they said they couldn't go back that far and it's only been two months ago.
They tell you you can do a month to month payment with no contract but at the same time automatically charging you a 60$ yearly fee.
Run far away from them

dirty equipment and sneaky fees
I hate their dirty equipment and sneaky fees and they won't 'let you' cancel unless you pay the dodgy extra charges. They threaten the fees will multiply and a debt collector will be sent after you. An example of the sneaky fees? Charging more than the contract amount. AND a $40 charge for 'admin fees' . During 2020 the gym was closed no one responded to emails which is fine but why am I being charged an admin fee?
I have always paid my fees and it is my closest club but I'll never trust them again.
No one wants to help you there.
Also, Crunch is unsanitary! Half the time the spray bottles are empty or there are no paper towel. No staff EVER cleans the equipment. They all just chat at reception.

Crunch is an absolute joke
Crunch is an absolute joke. So I got laid off of my job in Atlanta following the GLOBAL PANDEMIC of Covid, and was fortunate to get another job shortly after in St. Louis, MO. I had to relocate on very short notice and called to cancel my membership. I was told I had to physically go up to the location I opened my account and cancel it there. Since I lived over 10 hours away now, I didn't feel like making that drive or paying hundreds of dollars for a flight. I then was told I had to mail a written letter with my membership info to the corporate office, letting them know I wanted to cancel (mind you, we are in the most technological age in human history, where you can do absolutely anything and everything over the internet, like SIGNING UP FOR YOUR CRUNCH MEMBERSHIP, and confirm it with the click of your mouse, from the comfort of wherever you are). But... Crunch demands you write a letter and mail it via your neighborhood post office, like we're back in the 1990's. This was agitating enough, but I went ahead on my lunch break for work one day, wrote the letter, walked to the post office, and mailed the letter to their corporate headquarters. I ate that day on the clock thanks to a coworker who picked up lunch for me. Thankfully, I work for an honest company, who values not only their employees, but more importantly, THEIR CUSTOMERS so my boss didn’t get on to me. Anyway, problem solved, my letter was mailed, and I could finally quit getting so disgruntled over these charges of $9.95 on my bank statements. Next month, going over my bank statements, you guessed it, I see the same $9.95 charge on account. Despite going through all of Crunch fitness’s obstacles to close my account, they are still taking my money. There is a word for that, and it’s stealing/theft. This company doesn’t care about their customers, they don’t care that many people have lost their jobs and are struggling financially. They just care about TAKING your money. To the CEO or whoever is responsible for making cancelling your membership so difficult, or I should say, impossible, you are a joke. You’re an awful, awful, joke.

DO NOT BUY Personal Training Packages
Protect your $ - Avoid this company. They are terrible. I have $4K in personal training sessions they refuse to refund. I bought these pre COVID, got sick during COVID and have 2 doctors telling me I cannot go to the gym. I have provided doctor's letters - they refuse to refund. Rejections (that take 1 month to get) do not give reasons, just "rejected". I have also provided the bill of sale to show that we are in NJ. Now they tell me the sessions expire in July. (While we are still in COVID. While I am still sick).
Note: They never provide you with the contract. When you purchase the sessions you sign on an electronic key pad. They never give you the contract. Ever. They do not show the balance of sessions on your account. Log in. You won't see it (Equinox displays this clearly) No one aside from the fitness manager at the specific location where you purchased the sessions can see the balance (not the front desk; not billing; not a manager at another location. Its all HIDDEN from you - the person that bough the sessions. And if you get sick, or move, too bad. I have now filed a complaint with the NY AG. DO NOT use this gym.

Minus 1 star
Minus 1 star - that is my review!
I used the gym one time and A few days later I got COVID ! I can tell you I felt like I was walking into a COVID-19 Boot Camp - nobody wearing masks except the employees - no COVID Requirements were in place : crowded weight lifting room , no ventilation, no one wiping the equipments, no social distance in cardio - no temperature checking at entrance ! Terrible management - It really feels Corporate gives a Sh... It turned out I have to wait 90 d as per contract to get my membership canceled! That is absurd! At COVID Times !!!
I sent several emails, made several calls went there personally - but nothing- never got a response...I was practically ignored all along by Crunch Staff and Management .

Fraudulent charges in Wichita Falls
Fraudulent charges in Wichita Falls, Texas. You'll be told you have to sign up on the highest plan to get any benefits then you won't be allowed to go on a tour. I'm going to have to dispute charges with my bank as I cancelled the membership literally a day after I signed up.

Never again!
I started a membership in January but was never able to go even once. I was recently rear ended by a semi truck leaving me with back injuries and my car was totalled as well. I called the Clarksville location on Feb 1st and asked to cancel and explained my situation. I was told to send an email to ****@*****************.com and that my membership would be canceled which I did and received an email confirming my membership was cancelled. Then today on Feb 3rd, $25.64 was charged to my checking account, so I called the Clarksville location again to find out why my account was charged. The boy I spoke to said that he was the manager and that I would have to send him a certified letter before he would cancel my membership. He said he had no idea why I was told to send an email and that was not their policy. Why make it so difficult to cancel? It sure wasn't this hard when I signed up ONLINE.
I just want this to end, I would NOT recommend anyone to sign up with Crunch Fitness.
