Customer service sucks - They dont have an 800 number, when you send a message, they dont reach out. My membership is due on the 5th of each month, after a year, they started charging my credit card 6 days before the due date, and once you asked, they played stupid ( he system said we charged you on the 5th) and in top of that, im trying to lower my membership and they charge you for that too!
Equipment is ok - employees are ok, no great!

Dodged a bullet
Husband and I went into the wichita falls tx facility and we got excited to switch gyms for a few reasons but when it got down to the numbers of joining nothing made sense red flags were popping up left and right. The guy said normal price would be 107 but if we joined his family plan on his account we would only be charged 11 bucks today. Red flag I don't want to be on your family plan or account I want my own. So then he says it's 107 today and then tries to continue to get us to be under his family account because it's a better deal. Then I mentioned I thought it was 1 dollar to sign up that's what the paper Said and then he said we have to pay annual fees and other fees even though the paper said it will be waved so then he said it was an old promotion so then I go to the online website for crunch and it said no annual fee no fees at all to sign up and it would be 1 cent wow thats even better he seen me doing this and said it's not correct and that he's not sure why it's saying that I looked at him and thought red flag after red flag. After being with planet fitness for 5 years with no issues or hided fees I think I will stick with them. Crunch also advertise spray tanning but when I asked about it he said they do not have it there. They make everything sound nice but when it comes to numbers nothing makes sense if it sounds to good to be true then it is. We ended up not signing up and I'm happy I didn't blindly listen. It pays to do your research.

Crunch Fitness, Scammers
Crunch Fitness, Abilene TX, are scammers. They continue to charge your debit card even after cancelling membership. Don't do business with any Crunch Fitness locations. If one does this, they all do this.

The most rude management
The most rude management,
I was paying for the most expensive membership that allows me to bring in a friend ANYTIME to train with me. Attended Miranda with a close friend who’s also been my gym budy for 5 years and we train together everywhere. Well, during our training, the reception lady Sinead, approached me very loud asking for my membership card, saying she had a suspicion that I was coaching my friend, and therefore she needed to escort us out!
I tried explaining it was a misunderstanding but she got very loud and forced us to leave saying I needed to speak with manager Sam!
My friend went to her car embarrassed and crying, we are not kids, we are 46-47 years old family women,
By the time I got to my car I see a missed call from an unknown number, I call back and it’s from crunch Rockdale, and Sam general manager was calling me. So they out him on the phone to speak with me and he says without letting me speak: “ just letting you know, that you are banned from all crunches in Australia”!!
And hanged on me and deleted my membership that I have been paying for 3 years!,,
I’m still so shocked!

predatory billing practices
they're billing practices are predatory. I don't care how nice their gym is, or isnt in this case. they will renew your yearly membership without notifying you and if you try to refund and cancel it, within 24 hours of the renewal, they tell you that you get gym access for the remainder of the month of cancellation and because you get access they cant refund your yearly fee. Don't sign up because once you want to quit they will make it the biggest pain, banking on it being more trouble than its worth and you just keep it. Save your money or give it to a gym that wont refuse to refund you within 24 hours of unauthorized billing, and one that treats you like a person.

Very rude when asked on the phone about…
Very rude when asked on the phone about the cost of membership and the $64.19 annual fee being charged. The membership includes what they call a "pro-rated" Annual fee of $9.99 to be paid upfront. I asked how is that prorated? The guy couldn't give me a straight answer. He said, As I told you, you pay $9.99 today when you join and then in 60 days you pay another $64.19. I said, I'm a numbers person. How is that prorated? The language regarding the annual fee is wrong and very misleading. He couldn't give me an answer. I said, So the annual fee is not $64.19. It's actually $74.19. He said, Yes that's right. I repeated, The wording is very misleading.
Since at the onset of the phone call he told me the manager Steve wasn't available, I asked who I was speaking to. He promply hung up the phone. So I'm guessing I was speaking to Steve, a very lousy manager. I was all set to join Crunch, but now I think I'll go to the Y instead!
