Crunch FitnessReviews of crunch.com

Not letting me cancel the membership. Getting ran around, very rude manager, and fake corporate numbers to call. I filled out the Google form needed to cancel, and still getting charged 6 months later. Unacceptable

Still being charged after I have done everything they told me to do to cancel membership and they refuse to give a refund and pay for the overdraft they cause me at my bank. Terrible costumer service even after staying on the phone for almost half an hour to talk to a real person.

Not letting me cancel membership. Getting runaround, rude manager, and fake corporate numbers to call. I filled out the Google form needed to cancel, and still getting charged 3 months later

Do not sign any contract/purchase agreement with Crunch especially for personal training sessions!!! This company is predatory and will lie to you! Once they have your credit card, they will charge you over and over. They make it very difficult to cancel and even after cancelled they will still charge your card. It is impossible to get a refund. BUYER BEWARE!!! The club is also always dirty, trash everywhere and bring bug spray!!

DO NOT START A MEMBERSHIP HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE CHARGED FOR THINGS YOU SHOULDNT BE. Their cancellation system is a MESS. Their communication is a MESS. The RUDE guy on the phone to cancel barely even speaks english. Just don't. Out of all the gym memberships i've had, never have i ever experienced this. To them, 30 day notice means 60 day notice! Your own gym location can't even do anything. I was told one thing in person for the past 3 months, I did that, and now I'm being told I have to pay a ridiculous amount of money just to cancel by the most HORRID customer service rep i've EVER spoken to. I've had a membership for over a year and THIS is how i get treated? Go to planet fitness.

My boyfriend had a Crush membership. I’m not sure how long. When he was 17 last year, he decided to cancel as he only had the membership because the gym was next to his place of work. He went in person to cancel. They claimed my boyfriend would have to email. He did, he emailed and canceled. He was still charged that month. He canceled again, and was charged that month. The third month, he called. The person said that his membership has been canceled. He was still charged. He happened to change his primary debit card in the fourth month, from the Wisely card given by his job to a normal one from his bank. He emptied out the one attached to Crunch and blocked them, and his mother signed for a dispute (since my boyfriend was underage at the time). Fast forward to now, a debt collector has called saying that he owes X amount for unpaid fees for Crunch. Since he was a minor, it’s his mother who has to pay or her credit score will be affected. He informed the collector about the dispute, and the collector was surprisingly understanding. We’ll see where this goes, but 0 stars for not canceling when asked and continuing to charge. This should honestly be considered a scam.

Read the membership agreement before you sign anything!! Your membership automatically renews after your contract is up without having to notify you. Crunch also has the ability to raise your price once a year without notifying you. Verbal cancellations are NOT honored, if the employee you spoke to says they will cancel your membership and they forget to do anything or document anything YOU are obligated to continue payments and you will NOT get a refund. To cancel, give them written notice or send a written notice via certified mail so there is documentation. The customer care phone number listed online is not in service. The cancellation line is outsourced to India and has odd and inconsistent scheduled work hours. Good luck getting a refund because as of July 1 no one, either at the local gym or the number given to you for refunds and cancellations, are "authorized" to do so. Also if you cancel your membership keep in mind there is a 30 day notice, so you will be charged double for your last month of service. By all means go to a different gym!! Crunch is a slimy corporation who makes their money by using impossible membership agreements and conditions paired with poor communication making dealing with them nearly impossible. Please learn from my mistakes and use a different gym. They stole $167.93 from me, it got to the point I had to change my credit card number just so I wasn't continually robbed.

Terrible experience. They charge multiple late fees, I called and changed the card in my account to a different one knowing my annual fee was coming up. They charged the monthly and the annual on the same day on the card I specifically asked to be removed. I had an overdraft fee from my bank as well as late fees from them, going to have to pay $250+ to leave this trash gym. Staff is clearly unhelpful and unconcerned about doing the job correctly. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
