Crunch didn't get it right. From the get-go when i signed up, I couldnt access the gym to workout for 30 plus days, due to it being a new gym and not being ready but wasnt told this until after I joined. They wouldnt allow me to go to another location. Then my membership ended up at the wrong location anyway. So I've been charged over $150 in late fees and no one can explain exactly how the amount adds up. The yearly membership is pretty steep and then add on the late fees just because my bank had issues with auto draft. No room for error. And although the gym is new, it's so dirty and over crowded. What a joke.

NEVER EVER going back to Crunch Fitness…
Never ever going to Crunch Fitness again. I had multiple accounts with 2 different gyms and they said they never knew how that happened but my email and my phone number was the same.flr both!! After charging me almost a year for both whe I went to cancel 1 membership they cancelled the gym closest to me and the desk attendant said she closed the Plano membership! I've above never stepped foot in that gym. Then when I wanted to cancel the other membership they charged me $150 dollars to hard the account after they have been Doble charging me all year long. They never ask how can we make t up or what can we do to resolve this issue! NOPE, they just charged me the monthly fee then 3 days later after I wanted to cancel they charged me another 150 bucks to completely cancel membership. Find another gym if you can don't learn the hard way like I did. They gave me such a run around I just said screw it, cancel everything, they won't work with you at all and there is no Corporate number for u to call or talk to anyone . They leav it to some dumb ass kid behind an desk straight out of high school for customer service with your money!!

contract is predatory
Would not use ever again there contract is predatory. If you do not cancel in writing they will send you to collections. Find a different gym.

If I could give them zero I’d give them…
If I could give them zero I’d give them that. They are crooks. The call center they now have is a joke and there is no real month to month. They will squeeze everything they can out of you including bogus “fees”
How do you explain attempting to collect an “annual charge” two months after the annual date?
Why would that fee come up only after I argue that I should not owe more. One representative stated it was due to a balance from the prior month and then this months coming payment. Then once I ask to speak with a manager (Dhirej) he states the balance is an annual fee and current month….at the end of this rude exchange I asked for the supervisor and information on leaving a survey…7minutes later (Rahil) stated he could take my feedback and note it..or give me an email address.
This tells me they don’t want ppl to know just how bad they do their Customers.
Save yourself your better off with a small local gym…hell, even a planet fitness!!

Dont do it …
I have tried multiple times to cancel my membership and when I finally got to speak to someone when they tried collecting $48. From me after I finally had my credit card company deny payment, the representative (presumably from India) told me there was no one else I could speak to and he could not cancel my membership until I paid up the $48 owed. I told him I've been trying to cancel both online and with the front desk at the location I joined and he did not want to hear it. Good luck getting out of your membership is you join

San Pedro location show adult content
I have come to the San Pedro location in San Antonio Texas multiple times and seen them playing the movie Devil’s Rejects on their TVs. If you have not seen the movie, it is a Rob Zombie film that shows sex, full frontal nudity, and people being killed. And on the IFC channel they show all of it.
This last visit bothered me more than the others because there was nice black male that saw what was playing and looked at me. We both laughed, and then I watched him go up to a worker and explain what was happening. That worker then went to the front desk and told everyone there, then maybe 5 of them all looked at the screens for about 10 seconds and went back to what they were doing, not changing the channel or anything.
There are times when I need to bring my kids to the gym since they have a daycare but I can’t do that if the workers here are going to be that negligent and not even try to address an issue when someone brings it up to them. If they are not going to pay attention to what is on the TVs at all times, then they need to not have 7 TVs on a channel that can show rated R content out of nowhere.

My worst experience with crunch gym
So here's my review on crunch fitness on December 29th of 2023 I went to crush fitness and signed up for 3 months of service I paid a total of $76 my job changed so I wasn't able to use the service upon signing up for this service I was supposed to have been given a cancellation form unfortunately for me I was not provided that opportunity so after the 3 months of not using the service I was charged $276 of membership fees and now I'm being harassed by some law firm in Florida regarding money that I do not owe crush fitness now I just received an email stating that if I come in by the 28th of this month which is October of 24 they will waive all my fees if I sign up for crunch again that's not going to happen I don't want to sign up for crunch and I did not sign up for a membership back then I just want this to be over with I don't understand why I have to pay for something and I didn't sign up for especially when they broke the rules and didn't give me a cancellation form to fill out

DIRTY, PREDATORY, & AWKWARD
Dirty floors and locker rooms, predatory pricing and practices, overall great equipment if it's not out of order or overcrowded.
I had a terrible experience with their staff and they tried to rip me off (story below), but also I *hate* the wide open layout of the gym with awkwardly facing equipment (also more details below).
GYMWISE- great selection of equipment with a larger than average choice of dual-armed cable machines, plenty of resistance machines, high range of free weights, space and options for various workout styles, and plenty of both light and heavy equipment for anyone ranging from beginner to advanced (compared to places like Planet Fitness which are very limited for higher-end strength training and limited free weights).
First, why this is one-star... very predatory and fraudulent practices!
I asked for the 3D body scan and paid $10 for it and received no other service that day. We tried 3 times to have the body scanner work and it failed each time, however, the third time the email response was delayed and the PT Director said that means it worked and that it just takes time to generate the report. I was skeptical after the first two failures, but she insisted that it was fine and I left. An hour later the email arrived saying the third test also failed. I called and asked for a refund and was told the PT Director would call me back in an hour. She didn't. I called in the afternoon and asked again for a refund and they said they can’t do it because I "paid for the 'kickoff session' and the body scan is included for free so we can't refund it." WTAF?! 🤬
***They are an extremely predatory company! Just look up “Crunch Fitness Scam” and watch your phone melt at all the complaints for false advertising. Many of them are blindsided with hidden fees, hidden contracts with trainers, and being sent to collection agencies for hundreds of dollars of surprise charges! APPARENTLY, FARGO IS NO EXCEPTION***
Anyways, back to the story. After I said that I will just file a charge dispute at the bank and report it for the fraud that it is (which I ended up doing and the bank is granting a refund 😉), the PT Director went into what seemed like a rather well-rehearsed rant of how it wasn't "fraud" because they are providing the kickoff service (which again, I didn't ask for or receive) and the body scan was optional and "free." Also, the "kickoff" is basically where you pay $10 to enter a high-pressure sales pitch for a several-hundred-dollar commitment to a personal trainer. The trainers actually seem adequate, but you can get a ton of quality information from Dr. Mike Israetel and Jeff Nippard on YouTube literally for FREE!
MOVING ON...
The gym condition and layout... ***THREE-STARS*** (minus one for cleanliness and minus another for bad layout)
I worked out there last week and all I can say is it's not for me!
For starters, VERY DIRTY! All the other reviews are right and still nothing has changed as of Oct 21, 2024, it’s DISGUSTING! From the locker rooms to the small side rooms, the floors everywhere are gross. While attempting to get the body scan, I was barefoot and kept stepping all over chunks of dirt, rock, and other people’s hair! GROSS! (But definitely zoom in on the pictures I uploaded to Google and you will see hairballs! 🤢🤮)
I absolutely HATE their layout! Everything is all in one giant room (compared to a much better layout at Total Balance where I usually workout). You are not only on display for everyone but also forced to watch everyone else because pretty much all the machines face the same way and there are no dividers of any kind. In my case, I was using some of the machines in the middle and some dude had his shirt tied up into a crop top and was doing what I can only describe as "skipping-prancing bicep curls" up and down the aisle in front of where all the machines are facing. Distracting and AWKWARD! 😬
SUMMARY
You can get a good workout in, but I just hated the environment, the filthiness, & the incompetence of an otherwise friendly staff!
