Lets start with parking, good luck. Getting into classes, you better set your timer and be quick to the draw to get enrolled. Now with those 2 things, I still planned on keeping my membership. My employer offers me a free service called Wellhub and Crunch became a member of this service. Great, I can cancel my membership and use Wellhub, right, save my $32 month. So I am thinking great, I should be able to cancel my membership with no issues,"no contract", well I was wrong. Even though I gave well more than a 30 day notice, they still demanded I pay the $70 maintenance fee, wow, not even a member for 30 days, why can you just not transfer my membership? I guess they need that $70 more than they need happy members.

This is a scam of a company
This is a scam of a company. They will constantly charge you random amounts and even if you change cards they will find a way to keep charging you. They make the cancellation process extremely difficult. Be warned that if you try to cancel, not only can you not do so in the app, but you have to go the gym you were initially signed up at. The one that keeps billing me was formerly a 24hr fitness and when CRUNCH took over, I started getting charged $30 a month without and warning or notices. I’ve been getting charged since August of 2025 and I’m currently writing this in May of 2026. I’ve still yet been able to cancel the membership and just today a got a random $64 charge. 1/5 is far too generous for these scum bags.

CRUNCH FITNESS CHARGING FEES THAT I…
CRUNCH FITNESS CHARGING FEES THAT I DIDNT DO!
So we had a Crunch fitness acct that I started in November that I wasn't using so I went and canceled it on Saturday. They Charged me a 10.00 late charge. I was told that my original due date is on the 19th of every month but since I signed up with a debit card they will start the process to take out on the 19th but it's not completed til the 24th of every month so it looks like my payment is late but it's not. Every 24th of the month my payment comes out so no sir it's not late. If you started the process on my due date then thats not considered late either. That damn boy said they don't give refunds. I said oh somebody is giving me a refund. I want the corporate office number right now. He took the name and number down and is supposedly going to give it to some woman to call us back. They playing with my money then won't refund they bullshit as reply. Oh somebody gon give me my money. If yall got Crunch fitness please check yalls banking accts and stuff. They bank cant refund me cause it's a legit payment they told me to continue the dispute with Crunch fitness which I guarantee I plan on doing.

deceptive practices
I joined the Plantation Florida gym two days ago. I was told to sign on a keypad 7 times without having the benefit of knowing what I signed, which is in the agreement NOTICE TO BUYER- DO NOT SIGN THIS CONTRACT BEFORE READING IT. The agreement was emailed to me and I then reviewed it. The rep at the gym never disclosed the annual fee whatsoever, I only realized it AFTER printing and reading the contract. Other inconsistencies exist, and I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I am a handicapped senior citizen.

"Documented Cancellation, 7 Unauthorized Billing Attempts, and 4 Months to Resolve: Avoid Crunch Fitness
In November 2025, Crunch raised my monthly rate without any advance notice. When I tried to review my membership contract to understand what I had agreed to, their website was broken and the contract was inaccessible.
I reached out by email for answers, to flag the broken website (when I checked back a couple of months later they still had not fixed it), and after getting no help with either, to cancel. The Crunch Assistant General Manager told me by email that cancellations required an in-person visit or written cancelation request by mail and then stopped responding entirely. As you will see, Crunch apparently does not read its mail for months at a time...
I went in person. At the desk, I was told I would have to pay out the remainder of a full year upfront to cancel immediately, which was never mentioned when they instructed me to come in person or cancel by mail. I refused. After pushback, the employee backed down and processed the cancellation. I left with a printed confirmation (which I had to push for, and I'm glad I did): account canceled, $0 balance.
Ten minutes later, after I had left, Crunch attempted to charge my card $107.91. Over the next three months, they attempted six more charges ranging from $11.99 to $40.97.
I filed complaints with the Oregon Department of Justice, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, and the Better Business Bureau. Crunch ignored all of them. Both the DOJ and BBB closed their complaints out entirely due to Crunch's non-response. I sent certified letters to the Beaverton location and corporate New York in December 2025. Those sat ignored for months until someone finally emailed me in March 2026 to say they had just seen my letter. That is what canceling by mail would have looked like.
Four months after a documented cancellation with a printed $0 balance confirmation, I finally got written acknowledgment that the account was closed and nothing was owed.
Read the other reviews here and all over the internet. This is not a one-off. Every step of this process, from the unannounced rate hike, to the broken website, to the hidden cancellation fee, to the months of unauthorized billing attempts, to threats of sending you to collections, was designed to either extract money or wear you down until you give up. It is stunning this business is still operating. Or is allowed to.
Document everything before you ever set foot in this gym. Better yet: don't.

Today I went to the gym in Forney at…
Today I went to the gym in Forney at 8:13 am and I have one of the most horrible experience in any Bussisness as a customer ever. I paid for my VIP membership wish include all the amenities in the club, but been new I didn’t know that to join the classes you would have to doit 22 hours in advance, when I was set up in one of the bikes the class was to starting I heard that everyone has to have a hand bracelet so I went in front and the person customer service under the name of lily’s she told if I didn’t booked online I would be in a waiting list so she told me to wait, while I was waiting I was seeing the irregularities of she giving others the opportunity to go to the class over me that I was waiting an about half on hour, but the worst part was whe she was laughing and mocking me in front of other people because intentionally she was denied me going and join the class. To the point that a witness that she gave her the last bracelet wish was not happy how she was caring her self called the manager and lilys the disrespectful customer service give us her back not apologizing for her action of bulling me because of my accent and raise not letting not enjoy the spinning class.

Dishonest business practices
BEWARE: I paid for several months of individual training at Crunch East Cobb, before ending training. I went in to cancel the training and they said that there were some issues with the cancellation since they were moving over to iPads, but the manager on duty promised it would go through and be taken care of. Two months later charges for training sessions started showing up on my credit card. Crunch charged me well over $1000 before I got them to stop charging. They admitted on the phone that the overcharge was a computer error, but were careful to not put it in writing. After multiple calls and visits I was informed that they were unwilling to refund my money, despite having provided ZERO services for the money they charged me. If you HAVE to use Crunch Fitness you better CHECK your cards and bank accounts every month.

I have been with Crunch since this…
I have been with Crunch since this location opened. I usually have no issues and enjoy the amenities overall. I had an accident recently and fractured my ankle and will not be able to come to the gym for several weeks.
I called this morning 05/01/26 at 8:30 AM into my location at Gainesville Georgia to work with them to cancel my membership and was told I needed to come in to sign something. I informed the manager on duty that I cannot come in due to the broke ankle and she said that I would need to mail in a letter to cancel. I again explained I cannot mail anything physically right now but I could email the request. I was then told "They tried to make that work in the past but it didn't end up working." Which really doesn't make sense as physical mail is a more inconvenient and indirect form of communication. I asked to speak to another manager and was told one would not be in for two hours. I then asked if I could leave my information and get a call back regarding the matter and the response was "I can take your information but there is no guarantee they will call you back." When I asked why I was told that they just get busy. I stated I would then call back in a couple hours and the manager responded "Okay" and proceeded to hang up on me.
I then called back and asked for the managers name and was told I couldn't have this by the front desk person "Yesinia Santana." I asked to speak to the manager again and was put on hold then hung up on again.
The last couple weeks since I broke this ankle have been painful and emotionally tolling. I believe an exception to cancel my membership via email is warranted. I was respectful and just wanted to ask someone higher who could approve this request and the customer service I received was unacceptable.
