As others have stated, I wish that I had read reviews. The quality of the data and calls was consistently inconsistent. I joined because of the promise of low bills. If you make any changes to your plan, you are charged a $15.00 plan change. And I'm talking about logging into your account and doing it on your own, not calling and getting assistance. Why is this a charge? After canceling 15 days prior to my next billing period and being assured that my service will cancel with my number being ported, I am now being charged with a final bill of over $120 for next month's service as well as "additional fees". My normal bill was $70/month. $120 as a final farewell. Horrible service.

Another long-time customer gets a reality check. I am bitterly disappointed. To those of you thinking the complaints are fake: I can see why you think the complaints are fake, but I can assure you that mine are not fake!! I am homebound and have been struggling with reps who can’t think or act for themselves. The last straw was a bill due in Sept that was over twice the amount of my normal bills. Credo claimed I’d gone over my gigabyte allowance by 5 times. I was very sick and paid the bill, with an intention to come back to the problem. Using overage 5 times is impossible because I rarely leave my apt and have WiFi on all the time. I’m not away from home except for medical visits. Why would I be using data then? I don’t. Then credo reps claimed they’d sent me NINE text warnings that I’d used 75% and 100% of my data allowance. I never received a single text alert. They are lying or something else is really messed up. Very long story short, I asked for a refund or at least a compromise; each “escalation” for auditing was ruled against me. I’m tired of the struggles with them, the lies, the same non-responses to my valid points, etc. I’m bitterly disappointed because I was naive and trusting enough not to research credo before I joined. I see my loyalty means nothing to them. I don’t know where to file a complaint. Out of several reps I spoke to, only one woman seemed sincere and tried to help me. The rest were for jack. I’m stuck but will tell my circle to stay away from Credo. “The carrier with a conscience,” my big toe.

Credo may claim to be a progressive company but they are anything but. A customer representative agreed to a payment plan in October but management did not permit this. I've been a customer for 8 years and always paid on time. Now their associate claims I owe $225 in excess data charges. This is false. He also insisted I'd been sent multiple SMS alerts. Not a single alert was received during this period. It's a lousy company. Don't bother.

I just received another late payment email and when I called, the customer service rep would not help or let me talk to someone higher. I have been with CREDO for more than 12 years and Working Assets before that. They claim to be a progressive phone company, but I no longer believe that. They keep sending my bill late. Several times I have had to call because I did not receive a bill. Several months ago they charged me a $5 late payment fee even though I had mailed the check 9 days before it was due. My most recent bill arrived on Oct. 24 and was due Nov. 2. I wrote the check and took it to the post office the same afternoon, but received an email Sunday, Nov 5 telling me that my account was past due. Other bills I mailed at the same time were paid before the end of Oct. American Express emailed that they had received my payment on Oct. 27. After the frustrating call to customer service on Nov. 5, I received another email telling me my issue had been resolved because the customer support person had explained my bill. I disagree. I will resolve my issue by changing to a different company.

For the third time, Credo mobile sent me a 'past due' email two weeks after I mailed my payment. More often than not, I receive my bill one or two days before the due date and the date on that bill is usually one to two weeks earlier. I'm dumping Credo for another provider....

I also have been with Credo for many years and was glad that my money was helping good causes. I was reasonably happy with them until recently when I needed customer support for the first time in a long time. I agree that 1) the technical support staff does not know what they are doing and 2) “managers” are unwilling to help resolve issues or give the name of anyone higher up to contact. Very snooty. I expected better being a long time customer. And no, this is not a fake review!!

I signed up with CredoMobile and was very happy with their service and support for three years. I am extremely disappointed to report many changes have occurred and they no longer even come close to getting any favorable report. They are no longer able to provide any resolutions to problems the customer support staff tell you they have no options and there is no ability to discuss concerns with anyone who could resolve the issue. You can't even cancel an order that is not workable and not sent at best you can pay for shipping to return it and get charged a $50 fee while you wait 1-2 weeks for a refund. Then they claim it is non-negotiable and against policy. They are given a script that doesn't allow them to actually resolve any issues. The 5-star reviews on here claiming complaints are not real have either not dealt with customer support recently or are illegitimate reviews. The current policies go against their mission and vision. They cost more for monthly service than many other options. Don't waste your time or money supporting this company. Give your savings to the causes you care about yourself.

HORRIBLE . . . STAY AWAY!!!! Customer service agents are rude and incompetent. They're only open during banker's hours, so if you have an emergency outside of "business hours," you're screwed. I finally left and they didn't release the port of my phone number correctly and ignored my new carrier's request for assistance. In addition, I had an auto-pay in process that they canceled and didn't tell me and then charged a late fee. Four years as a loyal customer and they wouldn't waive it. STAY AWAY . . . BUYER BEWARE!!!
