Run for the hills, my friend--anything would be better than this trap of a carrier. (this coming from a committed, cat-loving snowflake lib, & a previous customer-- they were overpriced still then but okay) Attempted to switch my number over to Cre-dough (and lots of it!)--biggest mistake of the year so far : ( It took days to get it done, meanwhile without service, and they were NOT proactive at all--would be promised calls and emails back, didn't hear from them. And there were still problems with data and text messaging, so I figured better cancel and dodge any more bullets. Upon trying to cancel, saw my bill was $64, when I thought I'd signed up for the $35/ month/1 GB plan. I thought the price was inclusive but there's all these sneaky things they add, none of which is getting donated to anyone but corporate I imagine. And they parsed the monthly billing period dates, so even though I was only a customer for a less than two weeks, I'm getting charged for 2 months of service. So mad. And I'm not even sure yet if I won't get charged for a third month because they won't confirm cancellation until you pay, and so it goes...sigh.

Donate to your charities yourself. Credo is extremely expensive for the service you get. They do not disclose the total fees up front and their web sign up info is vague and misleading. Total bait and switch! I signed up three phones thinking I was getting three gig data for $35 per phone but it was three gig to share or one gig per phone and I had to pay over $100 to switch providers. My first monthly bill was $192 for 1 gig of data per phone! What?? Turns out there were $57 of extra fees. These fees were nearly triple what folks I know with similar plans were paying. We switched to MINT! Highly recommend!! We were on Credo for less than a week. I just got my final prorated bill for that week of service. $87 dollars. This whole experience has been atrocious. I wish I had researched them better up front. Hard lesson learned.

I have been a customer since the 1990s.. I joined in the 80s when they were a small company in San Francisco. Working Assets long distance and left but returned esp due to the social justice support! Twice in the last year a service rep was going to call me back and didn't. Once it was in the midst of troubleshooting the NEW phone that had some major glitches. She took two numbers to reach me with and NEVER called back,said she had a hard time hearing me so i gave her another mobile # plus she already had the number I was on my computer call with her, with. who do you hire to work for you ? sad sad days for CREDO.

Not what they claim to be. We have been customers for many years but this company has changed. They have repeatedly failed to apply payments and it is nearly impossible to reach customer service and if you do they usually cut you off before a rep picks up. And if they do pick up they are extremely unproffesional. We liked this company because of their promise to support progressive causes but it seems that is also a scam.

The reception and service is horrible. They say they use Verizon towers but unsure about that. I'll usually try different providers but this was the worst by far service wise. I travel for work and good reception is a must.

Credo is another company with terrible service. I originally asked for a paper bill, which I never got. My phone was a dud, so I'm having to set up another phone. I only was able to get through to customer service by harassing a management type with emails. And the constant self-congratulation is unbelievably annoying! "We're just so great; we're just so progressive." Make me barf!

I have been a Credo victim since 2017, when we first signed up for our plan & the phones it wasn't too bad. Pretty comparable to the other companies out there. However, they never notified us when the phones were paid off and kept our bill at the same rate despite no changes in plan level. When I noticed (it was on autopay and baked into our budget so it didn't stand out) I contacted them and was given some discounts & promised a refund, however within 2 months they were removed and the bill went back up to the original. I called again and was again promised refunds. Long story short, they have been overcharging me around $100 a month for the last 3 years and giving me the run around over refunds, discounts and cancellation till I finally just transferred our numbers to a new provider. Now my monthly bill is $45 for us both instead of $150. HUGE difference. I would take them to small claims court to get the refunds I was promised repeatedly but I'm just tired of the whole thing after dealing with it on an almost monthly basis. Go with Boost Mobile instead, they care about small local issues, support BLM, and give back to the communities their stores are in. Credo is NOT worth it.
