It's several things. seem to be more about helping their causes their customers. I'm being generous with one star, I need to slash my cell bill do up coming layoff/retirement and drop a line. The line I wanting to drop is what they claim to the main number and it can't be dropped. Maybe true , I call BS on this one. I tried to drop the "secondary" and keep the "primary " won't let me do that as well

Credo is a rip-off
Credo is a rip-off. Credo did not replace my phone when it was stolen. Although I have been a credo customer for more than 10 years and paid insurance on my phone in case of theft, it has been two weeks since my phone was stolen and they are still giving me the run around. Now they are telling me that the replacement phone that I was finally able to order, after a long ordeal and hours on the phone with different representatives and multiple "escalations" of my case, is on back order. When I paid for the replacement, they told me 3-5 business days. It has been a week and now they are telling me it's on "back-order". I feel completely disappointed and would not recommend CREDO to anyone. They are expensive and do not come through. Do not be fooled by the facade-- CREDO is a corporate and ruthless as every other carrier. Choose a more affordable one. CREDO is a fraud.

Bad Customer Service
Some of the worst customer service I've ever worked with and that's saying something. I spent multiple hours across multiple days just trying to get back onto their service. I figured it'd be easy to just reactivate my old account and be on my merry way. But nope I felt like I broken record because I kept repeating myself over and over again to new reps I would speak to. I would always get told "we'll look into this and call you back" and they never would. I would never be given a ticket number or support number or anything to follow up on. I was also promised a Visa gift card by one of the reps for coming back to Credo - nope never happened. I was charged multiple activation fees and had multiple accounts opened and closed while they tried to figure it out. You'd figure onboarding someone onto their service would be streamlined and relatively easy. I don't know it just seems like reps are incentivized to not escalate issues and to not create tickets / track issues unless you really pressure them. Their website also has old and incorrect information. Do better Credo.

Wont release number
My mom chose credo because of their message, and then we found out how little they give to charity. Now Ive moved to t-mobile and they wont release my number! Ive had the same phone number for 15 years, this is a nightmare.

Disappointed
I support their mission and this is why I stayed with them for 10 years. That’s the only reason though. By far the worst company I’ve worked with. Costumer service is horrible. The phones they provide always have something wrong with them. I should have terminated service a long time ago

A Credo Mobile nightmare that still isn't resolved
I was a Credo customer for 8 years, and until the last year my experience was positive. Something has changed, and their customer service has deteriorated, their website is misleading. On March 23rd I tried to upgrade my cell phone. I called customer service three times that day and each time was told that they couldn't help me, they would have a qualified rep call me back. No one ever did. So I finally went on the site and followed the (misleading) prompts to order the upgrade myself. I got an email notifying me that I had purchased a new phone, activated a separate, new account with a separate line. I immediately called Credo and explained what happened, asking them to please stop the order which was made in error as a result of misleading prompts and info on the website. They told me someone would have to call me back. No one ever did. The next day, worried about the huge cost I had incurred as a result of poor customer service and misleading website prompts, I called again (three times) emphasizing the time sensitivity of the situation and was told I would have to wait for someone to call me back. No one ever did. The new phone arrived on Saturday and I was unable to reach customer service at all. I tried to access my account, but was locked out, and on Monday I called again and was informed that I would have to wait for a call back, but that I would be charged a significant activation fee and taxes for the new account (that I never wanted, and created in error as a result of misleading prompts on the website, and because no customer service rep could/would help me) and if I returned the phone I would be charged a significant restocking fee. I had been pleasant with each rep I talked to, trying to work this out. Finally I asked to talk to a manager who blamed me for the issue. When I pointed out what had happened, and that it was not my fault, in fact I had tried repeatedly to get customer service to help me, she acknowledged that this was not my fault, but I would still have to pay over 100.00 in fees IF I returned the phone, which Credo made nearly impossible for me to do. I finally received instructions for returning the phone and hope that they will not charge me the 500.00. I have submitted complaints to the Better Business Bureau and to the States Attorney's office. I also wrote to Credo Corporate Headquarters. And I switched carriers. I'm writing this in the hopes that I can spare someone in the future from going through this dreadful experience.

A Disappointing Departure from CREDO MOBILE
I have been a member of Credo for the past 11 years and I have alway had a significant data plan that far exceeded my usage. It started as unlimited and over the years I maintained a plan that was way more than I needed since I am not a gamer nor streamer. Recently, unbeknownst to me, my usage went over my plan for some unknown reason. I did not catch it until I reconciled my credit card and notices my typical $60 per month charge plus an additional separate charge of $545. I called customer service and asked what cause that if if it was possible some error or glitch in the system. I never received any communication via email or a call that this overage even happened. I have auto pay each month and until I was reconciling my credit card was the first I had known or heard about this additional $545 hitting my account
After talking to 4 levels of representatives, no one could tell me why. I asked that the forgive the over charge since over the past 11 years I had NEVER gone over my usage so there must be something that caused it and that certainly they would forgive that charge under the circumstance. The answer was NO. Let it be known that I have been a credo customer (and paid more that I would have to pay other carriers) because of their support for progressive and worthy causes. I vote for the disbursements of the use of the profits and have always felt good about my involvement in doing good things through Credo.
Unfortunately, I will be leaving Credo for some other carrier... because they did not see 11 years of my support and 11 years of having a plan that well exceeded my usage as a reason to remove that charge that they could not prove nor explain. I found that unacceptable and a short-sited decision on management's part. So, I would say to those of you... that Credo wants your participation but when it comes to customer service in an unusual situation, they will not have your back. GOOD-BYE. CREDO

Not such a good conscience after all
Credo's, ("The Carrier with a Conscience") Customer Service has been abysmal. After over 5 hours with different help agents, the new phone could not be activated. In frustration, I said "I'm done," I'll return it. They said "Sure, for $50 restocking fee." I attempted to fight the fee, since the failure was theirs, and now it's been over 30 days and the phone cannot be returned. They will charge me the full fee for the phone. I've already bought one from Apple which was activated w/in 30 minutes. So I'm out, almost $400. I like their politics, but hate their policies.
