Do not use this company! One of my dogs has a prescription for apoquel for itching. On two separate occasion, her autoship did not arrive in time and I had to drive to the vet for an emergency refill. Autoship is set up so that her presciption should arrive before the last one runs out. Most recently, Covetrus said her auto ship was going to be delivered soon because it was sent by priority mail so I waited and my dog ended up bleeding from a sore spot which has never happened before. Seven days after the supposed priority mail was shipped, I still have not received it. I used the tracking number and found out that they ordered the prescription from Hawaii and I live in California. This is absurd. I have informed my vet of the difficulty I have had with this company and asked that they stop promoting it.

Should be a zero option. Outrageous pricing. Very poor customer service. Never use this company.

Just don't. Literally too many things to list but here's the gist. Autoship discounts, bogus. Outrageous fees. Customer service reps that talk in circles. Very overpriced. Find another place for your prescriptions.

Know that if you have “auto-ship” it doesn’t actually ship on that date; no will be 3-5 business days for them to email the order to Hills(the fulfillment phase), then ship time of 3-5 business day. But they will charge your credit card on the auto-ship date.

The Coventrus customer service was very helpful with an autoship issue.

Covetrus sent an autoship order with no advance notice. I tried to cancel the order. Their published customer service phone number would not accept calls. Their chatbot is not authorized to cancel orders. I finally reached someone there who said I need to mail the order back on my own dime for a refund.

I had canceled autoship orders with Goodfriends weeks ago due to very bad alergic skin issues that worsened after eating new perscription food.. The autoship was set to ship on February 9. Covetrus charged my credit card $148 on January 18 without ever sending an email or the product they charged me for. I called and spoke to Gabriella who said they would give a one time refund but they never did. I called Goodfriends who said they had n control over the shipment and to contact Covetrus. My credit card company told me this needed to be treated as a fraudulent charge and had to cancel my card. Revision on 1/22/2026. After the negative review Covetrus refunded the amount of the unauthorized charge to my credit card. I am grateful at the speed with which they responded.

I used my vet clinics link to check pricing on a medication. Covetrus charged $1.10 per tablet, not including shipping. The local pharmacy charges $.53 per tablet. The vet won’t use other pharmacies. I’ve read that Covetrus pays the vets a “commission aka kickback” for using their pharmacy. The cost of the prescription food I buy, Covetrus charges 131.99 (not including shipping) Two other online companies charge $102.00 including shipping. Pet parents should stay away this company and possibly re-think their choice of veterinarians.
