In my experience with Cover Whale it was horrible. Wish I could give them a negative 10. I have one 26FT box truck, I needed Commercial General liability, Cargo, and Auto insurance, an agent sent me a quote with the quote number stating it was guaranteed and approved. I paid 3K on the down payment, it was taken out of my account in 24 hours ACH on a Thursday by Monday I was told underwriting denied my coverage and I were being flat cancelled. Meaning I would receive a full refund on June 9, 2025. On June 12, 2025 I contacted the agent and Cover Whale in regards to my refund, at this point I were told to contact ETI in regards to my refund. I have received nothing but the run around since June 12, 2025. It is now July 19, 2025 and I have yet to receive my refund of 3K. My bank is telling me because it was a ACH withdrawal it’s nothing they can do. Please don’t waste your time or money with this company or their agents. I will not be allowing anyone else to withdraw anything from my bank account ACH again. Very valuable lesson learned. Hope this help someone.

This company is a horror story. one of their "insured" people side swiped my car, got video, witnesses. Submitted it to them, they told me to go through my own insurance because they weren't going to pay. My insurance company deemed it 100% their fault and is now suing the trucking company directly. Glad they had insurance. Brayden Thompson is the smug adjuster that was handling my case.

Very unprofessional company if I could give no stars I would. This place is a truckers nightmare! Do not use this company to insure your business!

Today I finally spoke with a supervisor just to confirmed that they will keep my premium + 1st payment after a policy cancelation done by them. People do not make any business with them. Cover Whale I will make you famous on TV, no body should get any business with this thiefs.

This insurance is BS. Operating Authority was revoked because they filed a week after the payment was made. I HAVE BEEN CALLING THEM FOR THE WHOLE 3 WEEKS AND COUNTING BUT THEY LEFT ME HANGING. I kept on emailing them and calling but they are avoiding it. THEY TOOK THE DOWNPAYMENT AFTER THAT THEY WILL CONSISTENTLY IGNORE YOU.

Company decided to wait until my last month to cancel me due to hard braking issues one week. While I explained that my truck was being serviced for brakes and rotors and mechanic advised them of this as well with documentation and repair invoice, they still cancelled my policy after receiving all the premium from me. This caused my authority to have a revocation on FMSCA while still having a month left til their cancelling date and companies started turning me down for work. I had no indication of this but one email after the fact of them doing this. I am scrambling now to get new insurance as was not prepared to come up with down payment as I was thinking I had 2 months of no premium pay. They did it this way so they could still collect premium and not have to cover me the months where I had no payment. I had no issues all year with hard braking. I would not recommend this company for any trucking business big or small. This is why they come in a cheaper rates because they are scammers. BE AWARE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
