El 24-05-25 cancelé mi suscripción y continué utilizandola hasta el 23-06-25. El Sábado 12-07-25 he revisado mi cartola de tarjeta de crédido y aparece el siguiente cargo: 2805 24000775147100019102291 27/05/25 COUCHSURFING INTERN COUCHSURFIN US 52.000,00 55,46 Es decir, me hicieron un cargo de CLP 52.000 (USD 52 aprox) el 27-05-25. Ese mismo sábado les escribí por Instagram, Twitter, chat integrado a su web explicándoles está situación y solicitando un reembolso. Recibí varios correos indicando que estaba en sus términos y condiciones ese cobro. Que se trata de una contribución para mantener la plataforma. Que no realizan devoluciones. ¿Una contribución tan grande? Además, ya pague una suscripción, ¿no es suficiente? Insisten en qué acepte ese monto en la aplicación, pero no recuerdo haberlo visto. Si hubiese visto que se me cobrarían 52 USD, no lo hubiera permitido. Hasta es momento tengo un ticket abierto #2102520 con Kath Equipo de apoyo comunitario Recomiendo no usar esa app.

Couchsurfing isn't the same site as 6 or 7 years ago. The monthly membership fee has doubled (used to be 3, now is 6 €). Last experience last year was good, but I had to look for a long time to find the right host. Let's see if it will be easier this time. EDIT: 07/12/2025: sent out at least 20 requests for hosts in NYC, I have references and a validated account, yet all I got was rejections. Also, the high number of nudist hosts on CS is a bit disturbing IMO.
