I wish I could give them 0 stars. You pay $300 for what are supposedly high end sunglasses with a lifetime warranty expecting them to last. What you actually get is a pair that the nose pads literally crack and fall off. Then you file a warranty claim that is denied claiming negligence or misuse. I paid $300 for them, so I baby them. No replacement parts are offered. Their solution is for me to pay another $224 for a replacement pair! Laughable! They used to have great customer service before they sold out to Essilor. Now it's non-existent. Customer service rep that I spoke to in India somewhere literally told me that I should be happy that they lasted 5 years and that I received a good value for my money. What???? I will never buy another pair and I own 4 pairs. How far they have fallen is mind-blowing. They literally could care a less. There are much better options for quality fishing glasses and better customer out there. Costa not anymore.

I loved the lenses
I loved the lenses, but after about a year, the rubber nose and ear pieces deteriorated. Costa wouldn’t cover them, and replacement pieces aren’t available to buy separately. That left me with a $300 pair of glasses I can’t comfortably wear. Costa offered me a discount on another pair, but that doesn’t make me confident the same thing won’t happen again. Great lenses, disappointing durability and customer support.

Very disappointed with Costa Del Mar’s…
Very disappointed with Costa Del Mar’s warranty service.
My Costa frames broke during normal use. They were never dropped, crushed, bent, or abused. I submitted a warranty claim believing a premium pair of sunglasses should not fail this way.
Costa denied the claim and instead offered me a discount to buy another pair. I contacted customer service, asked for reconsideration, and even called and spoke with a supervisor. I explained that the frames simply broke during normal use. They still refused to replace them.
I paid a premium price expecting a premium product and a company that would stand behind it. Instead, when the frames failed, the solution was for me to spend more money with them.
Before spending several hundred dollars on Costa sunglasses, I recommend reading the warranty carefully and considering my experience.

They USED to be a great company..
They used to be a great company. I own 14 pair of Costa sunglasses, it was the only brand I would ever wear. Their Customer Service was fantastic. Anytime I had an issue Customer Service would help me with repairs or replacement. In the last two or three years, they have gone completely downhill, they have denied every warranty or repair of mine and only try to sell you new sunglasses. It’s unfortunate that you would drive away loyal customers of 10+ years. I am taking my business to Maui Jim and I would suggest you all do the same.

The Frame is Garbage not worth the Price, Look else where
The 580G is too heavy and the nose piece is too easy to worn out and Costa doesn't have replacement instead asked me to purchase another pair of very expensive glasses.
Costa, how come you guys don't make replace for the Soft Nose Plastic, which is obvious to wear out on a $300 Sunglasses.
Updated 10/5:
Contacted Costa after their reply here! First told me they need Proof of Purchase (PoP), so I got them the PoP. Then they said Costa only covers 2 years for purchase after 11/3/22, so I proof I purchase before the date. Then Costa told me the plastic nose piece don't have replacement and it's not under lifetime Limited warranty. If it's broken, I need to buy another new sunglass. Waste of my time and money! To me, it's totally their fault on the sunglass, because it's a piece that attached to their frame. Costa should have replacement for that or warrant the expensive sunglasses. And I change 2 stars to 1 star.

Warranty claim denied just a few weeks beyond the 1 year
Warranty claim denied just a few weeks beyond their 1 year warranty. This is not acceptable from a "premium brand". The glasses are literally falling apart after less than 1 year of ownership (glasses stayed in case until fishing season So in Minnesota that's 5-6 months of the year. I guess that's what happens when private equity takes over. I'll spend my money on a different brand and use my time to let everyone know Costa is charging premium prices for low quality products. The great thing is that there are now other options like Bajio and Waterland for my next pair.

Well fool me once....
Well fool me once, shame on Costa; screw me a second time, shame on me! This company truly does not care about helping their customers after the purchase. They play the "we care about you so much" game with constant satisfaction requests, and unparalleled front end marketing. Every customer email starts with a form letter, generated off-shore stating how sorry they are that you experienced a problem. In the meantime, they deflect requests & complaints until the customer is so worn out & pissed off that they give up. (I thought only cheesy health insurance companies forged that approach.)
I'm an avid fisherman and very new to Costa. I've purchased 5 pairs in the last 2 months. 3 from resellers; 2 most recently directly from Costa. The first three purchase were flawless and I was well served by the Bass Shops & Sunglass Hut on the first three purchases, even w/ a somewhat complex exchange involved.
Both pairs purchased from Costa were disasters with both having short shipped or wrong parts & accessories. The first pair excluded parts shown as "included", which I validated on line and through numerous U-tube videos.
The first response I received after sending a comprehensive email was just a "screen shot" of their new web page excluding the items. (Mind you, I recently purchased the exact same models elsewhere and all items were always included.) Costa refused to acknowledge that a change was made and ignored my requests to note changes on their site, as well as brief their influencers who are actively noting what is included with Costa gasses.) Costa did "cough up" the missing loop retainer (probably < $2 cost) but only after four days of "back & forths" and escalating the case.
Episode Two (2 weeks later), I ordered a third pair of identical King Tide 8 glasses ($382 retail) in a third lense color. This time, the package arrived in an box, strangely small. I excitedly met the UPS driver at the door, while at the same time, thinking to myself, "there's no way that the box was large enough for a King Tide 8 Case".
Sure enough, the box showed up with labels all over it, clearly re-processed multiple times and a small std sized Costa glasses case in the std box. I was furious, particularly having an upcoming weekend fishing trip in 2 days. I made the assumption that Costa shipped me someone else's order and didn't even open the box. I immediately sent an e-mail (w/ photos) to customer service showing what I received and requesting an immediate exchange. (I actually think someone at Costa simply grabbed a pair of King Tides, jammed them into a small cheap box (vs matched $40 case) and sent the pair to me hoping I didn't know any better or wouldn't do anything. PURE LACK OF RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMER BASE!
I can deal with inadvertent mistakes, especially when most companies bend over backwards to resolve them. Make no mistake! NOT COSTA. Their current culture appears to endorse "hiding" or covering up their mistakes while intentionally disregarding their customers!
As in the first case, I received the same form letter, this time showing that all the labels matched and that their system showed everything correctly shipped. No logic, no acknowledgement, and certainly no offer to fix the problem.
I wrote again and ...... another form letter, requesting that I take even more photos which I did. I'm thinking, "Wait a second, am I being suspected of lying here?".
I am now 10-12 hours worth of emails & phones holds into trying to resolve the issue and can't reach anyone. Then the weekend hit.
NONE OF COSTA'S DOMESTIC CUSTOMER PORTALS CAN BE REACHED ON WEEKENDS! WEEKDAYS ONLY, UNLESS YOU WANT TO BUY SOMETHING!
My problem remains unresolved until customer service returns. I cannot believe that a company, Costa's size cannot resolve problems as simple as replacing wrong items without a battle. I also cannot describe my aggravation given such a simple issue.
Finally, I at least thought once resolved, that I will own quality Costa glasses for the remainder of my life.
Adding insult to injury, I now see here on Trust pilot that my issues pale in comparison to most people's. The thought of my glasses actually breaking w/o support is frightening! I am stunned reading the dozens, if not hundreds of quality issues that I was not aware of.
I've just invested over $1,250 in Costa products based in great part on the exceptionally positive and well reviewed influencer and retail outlet marketing. (I now understand why Costa excludes independent reviews!)
I will likely return every pair of glasses that I purchased that currently fall under the 30 day return policy. I can't risk the possibility that any of these very expensive glasses will fail and that I will be left w/o support.
Guess it's back to Maui, Smiths, & Bajio!
