I've been a big fan of Costa over the years, owned at least 9 pairs dating back to the early 2000's. No longer. Had a warranty issue about 3 years ago, was able to speak to rep quickly and the repairs were handled quickly with a small shipping expense on my end. Recently tried to make a warranty claim on a pair purchased just over a year ago (frames were bent, my assumption was from being in a hot vehicle as they were just crooked on my face one day, which is kind of crazy given they were a $250 pair of glasses..). Couldn't get ahold of anyone so I went through the lengthy online process. The response I received said this is not covered under their warranty but they recommended that I go to Lenscrafters and they could fix the frames. I called Lenscrafters assuming there was some type of corporate partnership, which there was not. Lenscrafters does have a policy to fix glasses free of charge evidently, but for all manufacturers and not Costa specifically. Crazy that Costa would use this as their "repair center"... In addition to warranty issues, I feel the quality has gone down for some reason. I purchased a pair of Tuna Alley's with the glass lenses. Just lik a pair I had in the past, but overall the glasses just feel "cheaper" and were not the same. Extremely frustrating. Needless to say, they will no longer be getting my business. Looking at Maui Jim's for my next pair.
