Terrible service and response time. I have been waiting on an order that I placed over a year ago.... I keep getting emails about how they will compensate for time lost but its all BS. Just refund my money.

I want to start this review stating that my experience with Compass Mining is not related to being scammed or something similar. In that regard I can assure CM is legit and they refund customers. With that being said I can’t recommend CM. My wife and me tried to buy and host a machine with them ( we wanted to try the service so we can purchase more in case we like it) and the whole purchasing process was a nightmare. We live outside US and we made a bank transfer as payment. Right from the get go their bank rejected our transfer because in the Beneficiary we wrote Compass Mining instead of Prime Trust LLC which is the legal name. My bank usually confirms with me when I receive transfer under the commercial name of my own company, not just flat out reject the transfer. But you can argue that this is not their fault and I will agree, but nevertheless I think that making sure that your commercial and legal name are known by your bank is not that difficult to do, but like I said I will not put this on them. When the transfer was rejected I contacted the sales person that I spoke through the buying process, Tyler Abad, and told him what happened. I asked him if I needed to restart the purchasing process again and he literally reassured me that just resending the money it was going to be enough and as long as the transfer came in a timely manner CM was going to respect the purchasing order and don’t give the machine to another person. I trust him and did the bank transfer the same day. BIG MISTAKE from my side. Each transfer from Europe is more than a 300 euros, 350+ dollars, between transfer fees and currency exchange from euros to dollars, so you know. The transfer arrived 2 days later( like the previous transfer I did) and after a couple of days more asking if they can confirm the payment, a rep from the payments department contacted me saying that indeed the money arrived 2 days prior but my machine was already sold to another customer. So at this point I was like 600 dollars down in transfer fees and currency exchange and no machine. At that point I should asked for a refund right away but again I spoke with Tyler expressing my frustration and he asked me to hold my refund to see if we could use the money as credit for a new machine, apperantly new machines were coming. THIS WAS ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE , days later CJ from Payments contacted me saying that they don’t have any system or method to withhold my money as a credit line. According to them they have credits as discounts or bonuses but not a full credit or deposit account for each customer. THIS IS A LIE. There is an article in their Support page were Sajed Ammari writes about their South Carolina mining operation problems and how customers who were purchading machines to be hosted there could opt for using their payment as credit for future products in their hardware page( basically new machines).I can’t post the link here because Trustpilot doesn’t allow links in the reviews. I don’t know how long CM will keep the support article online because this clearly shows that CUSTOMERS ARE NOT TREATED EQUALLY.Maybe is because I was just purchasing and hosting one machine but CM praise themselves as the solution for small and retailer miners who want to mine online instead of at home. Long story short and almost a month of back and forth asking them to gives an alternative so we don’t have to redo again a transfer and spend again hundreds of dollars trying to buy a machine from them, Tyler suddenly admits that whatever payments says he can’t overwrite the decision. At that point, I was like : Dude why you are asking me to wait and telling me that you will speak with Payments to try to find a solution if you knew you have no saying in the final decision. Ad a note, We even asked them to get refund in USDT so we could avoid the bank fees and have the money ready to purchase the machine from them right away. Their answer of course was not possible and by that point we were out of options, tired and frustrated with them. For being fair, nobody was rude with us, but their work system is terrible. Payments and Sales have no communication between them to the point that sales doesn’t know how the payment department even works. My Advice for potential customers: 1-Don’t trust a word from sales department, they are not bad people or scammers, just they will not be able to help you or intervine if you have any trouble with your payment. 2- Don’t pay we bank transfer, specially if you are leaving outside US, transfer take days and they will not wait for your transfer to arrive, even if you send them transfers receipts like I did. They will give the machine or machines to the one that pays first. I think you are better off paying with crypto 3- Check other options around like Wattum and Cyberian Mining. Compare and decide.

If you'd like to spend thousands of dollars with a company and have them continuously miss deadlines, this is the one for you! Customer since early July, and they've hit maybe one deadline they've set for themselves regarding my set up. I've missed out on making my money back on at least one miner so far, and have been credited a minuscule amount that is really only useable towards future hosting costs, if my machine eventually gets set up that is.

Poor experience with them so far. I purchased mining asics from Compass in July 2021 for August 2021 hosting. They failed in their due diligence to provide the promised hosting facility and notified me of a 1 month delay. Then they failed again promising to a further month later. When contacting their customer service, response times varied from 2 days to a week, so response times when raising a ticket(query) through their communications system was very poor. I have a real worry that if I have an issue with any of the miners that I have purchased that communication with them will be like getting a tooth pulled. Then after reading some of the reviews here, I have no doubt that these same customer service representatives are probably spending their time writing false/fake reviews on this site. I regret investing many thousands of dollars on this company. I may update my review if my experience with them improves but to this point they have lost my trust.

*** NOT TRUSTWORTHY *** Not Honest! Lost customer trust! Greed seems to be the new company policy! Never Again! Compass, You have no intentions of resolving my issue because you are willingly cheating me and I can clearly see it! I am done after months of requesting, chasing you to resolve my issue but you chose to lose me! The below was my past review with Compass when I first joined it was under another management but now this new management is cheating me, asking me to pay for services that I did not use! ____________ I am glad I found Compass! This is my first ever experience mining, the staff here is extremely supportive, friendly and available 24/7 to answer anything and everything! They are a Great team! Only down side I faced was a delay of few weeks for my miners to go online which was due to facility issues, it was very disappointing for me but today I am happy that all my miners are up and hashing! As a customer I want to say Compass is definitely NOT a scam, they are 100% Real, genuine and here for the long run! Thank you Team Compass

This company is a scam. They only accept BTC and Wire? no CC?? what the fck. - that means we as customers have no recourse!! Mining is very hard and is not guaranteed to make money. Just DCA and do not mine with these scammers!!

Dozens of fake reviews have recently appeared with absurd made-up names, often using the same text. I paid thousands to Compass on the recommendation of Lyn Alden. That was back in mid-summer. Wow, am I sorry I did that. Was supposed to be up and running by now, but just getting more and more delays. It's hard for me to believe this company is legit. I have never seen a company conduct business this way--not filling contracts or orders and sending brief, cryptic emails that basically just tell you to keep waiting more weeks. Now to have this site flooded with fake reviews is even more evidence of trouble.
