I bough two miners located in Russia and managed by the Compass mining partner Bitriver. In April 2022 the commercial relationships between Compass and Bitriver have been abruptly interrupted because of US sanctions against Russia. Compass says to its 2.000 customers that "owned" miners located there, that: 1. It has to interrupt abruptly all the hosting contracts; 2. It cannot give back the miners to their customers because the miners are located in Russia and they cannot have any kind of relationship with Bitriver; 3. It cannot facilitate any kind of communication with Bitriver because of the US sanctions; 4. It can only "try" to liquidate the miners through a third party company, but without any kind of guarantee of success; I asked several times to Compass if they do have any kind of insurance in order to protect its customers against this kind of event. But they never answer to this question. In conclusion: 1. I have probably lost my two miners worth over 26.000 USD. 2. Compass is a company that is not able to manage high risks (war, disaster, etc) transferring them to an insurance, but prefers to leave those risks on their customer's shoulders. Consider carefully this element when you invest your money using this company, because you can lost all your capital invested.

Poorly handled company, multiple delays, Toxic CEO with huge ego and personality issues. As a customer faced so many delays and now they've abandoned my machines in Russia. More focused on PR instead of good service. Shambles Company. Bunch of fake good reviews too. Dont be a fool.

The worst customer service and service in general. A day doesn't go by that I don't regret doing business with them.

Delayed installation of miners. Waited 4 months for my miner to be installed. Lost of sats during this delayed period. Lost 4 months of warranty on my miner while waiting to be installed. Stay away from compass mining.

I ordered miners last year that was supposed to be online in December. Then the support told me late march. Now we are in April and the order is still pending. This company is a complete joke.

Purchased hosting services in in August to be up and running by December. Fast forward to March 2022 and I can't get a clear answer on when my miner will be installed. Each time I request an update from support they tell me it will be live within a week... wish I could upload screenshots of these emails because it's unbelievable... Not sure if they just collect payment, reinvest your money, and feed you a story about delays to hold your money as long as possible Update 4/11: Team reached out 3/31 saying miners are almost ready for deployment. Still nothing but email updates, telling me it will go live soon. With the start of April, it's now a 4 month delay. We are getting hosting credits for each delay, although minor compared to the cost of the delay.

They stopped answering my emails. My machine only worked for a month, and now is almost 3 months with no fixing. Now they are not even answering my emails. I feel desperate. Basically I lost 16k, money that I took over 7 years to collect. And they don't even think is their responsibility to keep the machines working, they just sell it.

I had a bad experience related to the delay of the units I bought. There was a one month (so far) delay in units coming online, this translates more less into 4 months of two miners in terms of fees, they offered a compensation of just one month so absorbed just 25% of all losses incurred. Basically building these facilities is their core business and getting and keeping miners online should be priority. I understand that they have great lawyers and Terms of Service is quite one sided and fully protects Compass in case of delays, but I do not like the uneven distribution of losses resulting form delays. I thought that Compass mining would treat its customers in a better, fairer way. If they do not take responsibility for getting miners on time and keep them running, then what is their responsibility ?
