FINALLY!! A liftstyle change that works!
I am almost 57 yrs old, mother of 6 and grandma to 2. I have had poor eating habits since I was a teen. I was a three sport athlete that lifted weights, worked out and was healthy (so I thought) I didn't eat breakfast, very little for lunch and then whatever for dinner. I experienced with some bulimia as well. I am 5.4 and weighed 128 back then so this is what I thought helped me stay in shape. Never thought about the issues I dealt with back then as being caused by my poor eating patterns. After the birth of my children, I did certain diet plans that helped for a short time but always left me restricted and gaining weight back. After menopause, there was no way I was getting rid of the meno belly, the horrible sleep patterns, lack of energy and all around crappy feeling no matter what I did or didn’t do. I watched Mere on FB videos and thought why not give it a shot. From the very first phone call with DJ Paraiso, my coach, I knew I could do this plan. DJ walked me thru the plan, what to expect, what his idea for me should be including the goals I wanted to attain and what my final objective for my future would be. Never in all the emails and text messages between DJ and I did I feel like I was bothering him or bugging him with dumb questions. DJ supported me the whole way and gave me meal ideas and product choices, asked me to step out of my comfort zone and give new things a try and wanted feed back every week to help change and improve my experience. His knowledge and encouragement made all the difference in how I succeeded. The Svelte Plan with Meredith Shirk is absolutely amazing and helped me in a lifestyle change I needed. When I started at the end of Feb, I weighed 156 pounds and had a goal of 140. In 2 1/2 months I have lost 14 lbs and several inches that I fit into clothes I have not worn in years. My sleeping has improved to 7-8 hours a night versus the old 3-5 hours. I don’t wake numerous times a night as I did before and in the morning I actually feel rested and no longer sore and achy. I have decided to go to 135 pounds and then continue to maintain as I have two children’s wedding coming up as well as more grandchildren to stay active with into my golden years. I started lifting weights again and doing Mere’s 7 min a day workouts each morning and then sometimes again in the evening while watching tv. I walk my treadmill Wed-Sun and feel great while doing so. I can keep up with the granddaughters on Mon and Tues and have energy and stamina to keep up with them. This program gives you amazing coaches (and if they are all like DJ, you cannot go wrong with any of them), Meal Plans and Recipes that are tasty and filling even when you are a picky eater, there is something for everyone Online workout videos and an online community to watch helpful videos and insight to help attain your goals as well as seeing what everyone on the Program is doing and celebrate their success as they celebrate yours. The absolute BEST thing for me about this program is I no longer track my food and stress about getting my recommended Starchy/Simple Carbs, Protein, Fibrous Carbs and Healthy Fats for my meals. It has become a routine and I know what I need to eat and when. The Svelte MetaBoost plan is wonderful and I am so glad I committed to a change in my future that includes a healthy and positive lifestyle!

What stands out most in your story is how much more this became than weight loss — it became sleep, energy, confidence, and getting back into the life you want with your family. Dropping 14 lbs in about 2.5 months, fitting into clothes you hadn’t worn in years, and feeling rested instead of exhausted is a big shift in such a short time. It’s also clear how much DJ’s steady support and guidance helped you build trust in the process, especially with something that had felt frustrating and restrictive in the past. The fact that the structure now feels natural — without constant tracking and stress — says a lot about how sustainable this approach has become for you. Most importantly, you’re not just “getting through” your days anymore — you’re lifting, walking, keeping up with your granddaughters, and planning ahead for big family milestones. That’s real-life change, not just numbers on a scale.
