In August
In August , 2025 I fell & received 2 fractures in my hip. I spent 60 days in rehab & was informed it will take a year to grow the bone over the plate that holds the 2 fractures together. Knowing I weighted 204 lbs, I knew it would hold me back from walking on my own. I joined Committed Coaches knowing I wouldn’t succeed on my own due to failing many times previously. Then I met DJ, his knowledge, encouragement & support was what I needed to succeed in loosing 50 lbs. DJ is the key in keeping me on track with keeping me motivated with all his helpful tips, menu ideas , videos & a wealth of information that makes my journey easier. I am half way there & with his continued support I know I will lose the other pounds . I am 87 years young & my goal is to be healthy & have many years left to enjoy my 11 Grandchildren & 12 Great Grandchildren. While I’m at it I might as well shoot for 100 .

What stands out most here is the determination you’ve shown through a very difficult recovery, and the clear focus you’ve kept on your health and independence. Losing 50 lbs after a hip fracture and rehab is a meaningful accomplishment, especially while working toward getting stronger and more mobile for your family and daily life. It’s great to hear DJ’s guidance, encouragement, and practical support have helped you stay consistent with meals, mindset, and motivation along the way. Having that kind of steady structure and accountability can make a real difference when rebuilding strength and habits. Most importantly, your goal isn’t just about weight — it’s about staying active and present for your grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and continuing to build on the progress you’ve already made.
