They charge high "restocking fees" and although they worked with me to lessen the prices for return shipping and restock fees, I still ended up paying well over 300 dollars to return products that were not used and not as described or photographed. For example I purchased a "3 inch thick shikibuton" that was rolled up neatly in the photo on their site, but it ended up weighing over 200lbs, was 6" thick, and impossible to roll up for storage. They said it would compress over time but not evenly or uniformly which is not typical for a supposedly thin floor mattress. It was really just a regular futon mattress and not a shikibuton. I had to ask two friends help me pack it up to be returned because of the weight and size. I don't believe I should have been charged to return that product. I also purchased a mattress cover but it arrived with a broken plastic zipper. Their customer service is attentive and communicative but argumentative and dishonest. I would not purchase from this company again or recommend it.

We ordered 2 tatami mats. Now, we have a rush grass mat for meditation, so are familiar with the natural smell. The ones from Comfort Pure stunk so badly of mold that it was scary. We slid one out of the (bent) box and it also was badly bent. It stunk like black mold. I was afraid to slide the 2nd mat out, fearing mold spores. I owned the box about 8 inches and that one stunk like mold too. We were told to lay the bent mat flat and put a weight on it and it would bend flat. For the expensive price we paid, I don't think we should have to deal with the hassle. Both mats were returned and we were charged fees. Beware that these mats are super stinky, like black mold scary. I don't know how anyone could sleep on one.

I placed the order for my bed on June 6, 2025. I still haven't received it. First it was out of stock and then it was supposedly shipped. I even set up an appt for delivery and that date was cancelled the day before delivery. I have yet to hear back about when I might receive my bed. I should have not spent so much money for a bed I can't seem to get. Super frustrated!!! Hoping to be able to come back and give a better review if I ever get my bed.

What a weird transaction. Just tried to buy a bed and was called over and over on phone (traveling on vacation and asked them to email). At first it was in stock, then it wasn't, then it was...I'm actually still confused what is going on. Very strange to buy something online and be called over and over again instead of emailed.

I ordered the extra firm mattress expecting a cotton and wool product, as described. However, it turned out to be 95% cotton and only 5% wool — something that wasn’t made clear during the purchasing process and would have definitely impacted my decision. The construction also feels subpar. The mattress is stitched together with plastic string, which was surprising and disappointing — if I wanted to sleep on plastic, I would have chosen a different product. To make matters worse, some of the knots are already coming undone, raising serious concerns about durability and overall quality. I’ve contacted customer service to request a return and am currently waiting for a response.
