One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing, customer care has no basic data entry skills, and they've messed up both deliveries and returns. In store sales representative is lame, unresponsive, and upper management is equally unresponsive despite numerous attempts to make contact with both. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Returns have been have been difficult, items have been misinterpreted, and refunds have been an act of congress to receive. Over one month and no one will answer calls or emails. Customer care mixes up returns despite specific instructions in writing. Sales person and corporate management won't answer calls or email.

Should be called SHI**Y Furniture
HORRIBLE PRODUCTS should be known as SHi**y Furniture. had my outdoor table for 3 weeks and got deep water stains that were not cleanable on my table top that etched into the surface. I had paid for the extended maintenance and warranty program but guess what water stains and that damage is not covered! they could do nothing. absolutely horrible will NEVER be ordering anything from them EVER again!

We applied for a city furniture card…
We applied for a city furniture card and we were suppose to receive $500.00 which we could use towards making payments on the card, guess what that is not TRUE all they are is gift cards. It seems they will tell you anything to get you to buy, the sales person was awesome but he is new so we delt mainly with the Manager who is the one who told us about the cards it's a shame they have to go to this level to sell you furniture unfortunately for them NO MORE

Poor quality furniture and even worse customer service
In July 2020 I purchased a chrome and faux leather desk chair that paired perfectly with a glass and chrome desk I purchased later. Anyway, I live alone and never had a reason to use the chair until I purchased the desk some months later. I work from home and one day I was sitting at my desk in the chair and it suddenly leaned forward. After examining it, both screws had just fallen out! When I tried to screw them back, I found that part of both screws where still in the holes and the screws themselves are actually hollowed out.
Speaking with a customer service rep I'm told I only paid $10 for the chair because I got a $100 credit. Seriously??? There is no way I paid only $10 for this chair!
As I write this review I have been on hold with customer service for over 30 minutes! Then he comes back and refuses to give me the managers or the name of the manufacturer. This is the last straw for me with City Furniture. They have beautiful presentations, but the quality of their furniture and customer service reeks nothing short of a scam.

Do not purchase the 3 year in home…
Do not purchase the 3 year in home service warranty. I purchased and paid over $1500. Salesperson stated that you will receive in store credit if you don't use the warranty. Never received the in store credit because they sent to my old address even though they new my new address cause they shipped to it. Also did not tell you that you only have one month to use this credit if you do receive it. I am a snowbird that lives in Florida for 6 months and go back to my home state in the summer months as millions of people do. I wasn't even around for the month of August when I would have had to use it. AGAIN DO NOT TAKE OUT THE HOME WARRANTY. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM CITY FURNITURE AGAIN.

These people Lie! It is simple!
After spending over 2 hours trying out recliners, I found one that was perfect. It was made by Ashley Furniture at the Ecru, Mississippi Plant. Made in the USA.
I was with my husband and did like that salespeople had left us alone and let us just shop. I knew precisely what kind of recliner I needed. I have a rare spine disease and spend days and nights in my recliner.
We found one that was perfect. I needed the recliner ASAP. I am very sick and the trip to and from City Furniture was extremely rough. I applied for an Ashley Furniture Store credit card and was approved for $5,000.00, only to be told by the salesperson we found, that despite the advertising and sign on the store, I was in City Furniture, and an Ashley Franchise.
So I quickly applied and was approved for $3,500.00 at City Furniture, meaning that I now have two hard pulls on my credit.
The Salesperson looked up the Cranedall Recliner I chose and said that the recliner could not be delivered until April 29th, implying that that was the first delivery slot available for my zip code. The salesperson also tried to upsell me on the common add-ons that pay his bills. He also suggested a recliner that I had tried out earlier, which was $500.00 or 50% higher than the one I wanted. After rejecting all the add-ons, we closed the deal.
We had to ask for a printout of all our paperwork and then, being very tired and in pain, but happy I ordered and my needs had been met or so I thought.
I didn't read the paperwork until the weekend, actually Sunday morning, and discovered that the delivery date given verbally by the salesperson was the possible date that City Furniture would stock the recliner because the recliner was on BACKORDER!! At no point was I told that the recliner was not in stock!
To me, what was unsaid was a cover-up to make the sale! I was pissed! I call it lying, others call it misleading. Either way, the manager of the store was also there when we closed the deal, trying to make up sales on the common items that furniture stores do. Again, neither of the two, the manager or salesperson mentioned that the Cranedale recliner was back ordered!
I was told I could cancel the order with no trouble or problems, but they are closed on Sundays. I called on Monday and told the store to cancel. They said fine and that I would receive a call from the credit division in five to ten minutes.
No call thirty minutes later so I called City Furniture in Boca Raton again. I finally got corporate and at first, they tried to just give me a $1069.99 credit I could use at City Furniture for other furniture. I had to tell them that I wanted a full refund for the recliner and don't want to deal with the company ever again!
I received full cash out and the removal of the charge from my credit card.
I suggest if you have to shop with these people, you just look your first visit and take notes on the item as since they are an Ashley Franchise, plenty of stores both online and in the area carry the same items. I found the exact Cranedall recliner, in stock online for $300.00 less with in-home delivery. The City Furniture charges over $100.00 extra to just bring the recliner through the door and put the back on and plug in three wires.
I hope this honest review helps the person reading it.

Purchased 2 accent chairs 1 month ago
Purchased 2 accent chairs 1 month ago. The 2 chairs arrived broken. When I processed a claim they said no refunds or exchanges after I received delivery. In order to inspect the item I have to get the item delivered, apparently I had to inspect the items in the warehouse via teleconference. Now 6 chairs delivered and all are broken. I have to wait 2 more weeks for 2 more chairs. I paid over $1,100 for 2 chairs over 30 days ago and we cannot use them. Went back to the store and the display item is broken too. No other solutions offered. Only that I keep waiting for 2 more chairs for the rest of time. Great investment of $1,100. At the Store they said Nothing Can be Done.
