CitizenShipper Review - Great concept horrible execution by an immature uncaring management approach. Stay far far away from this company if you value your time, money and your animal that you are shipping. The business model is simple and I think would be a good tool if the company actually provided high quality professional “independent contractors” on their platform as they advertise. Further, they charge a significant fee for connecting the “independent contractor” and the customer with essentially no customer service after the transaction has taken place and they have collected their fee other than a customer service email for any “dispute resolutions”. This lack of concern post transaction leaves their customer very vulnerable to being mislead by their advertising and increases the likelihood that criminal activity can take place using their services. My experience with CitizenShipper demonstrates this very clearly: I placed a request on their site to ship my dog from IL to WA state. I received at least 20 quotes from “independent contractors” who according to CitizenShipper’s website and advertising claims that they are high quality professionals who have been background checked which should give you peace of mind and increase your confidence in the process. This was the main reason I went with their service. Consequently, I selected a provider who quoted me a reasonable rate [not the highest nor the lowest]. I selected this “independent contractor” because they claimed to have experience shipping English Bulldogs and that was important to me. I have shipped my animals in the past and was not concerned when I was asked to pay a deposit fee to book the trip as this practice seems to be standard based on my experiences. I paid the deposit and then the transporter went radio silent never to be heard from again despite numerous attempts to contact them. I contacted CitizenShipper as described for dispute resolution on their website and I was basically told tough luck. This lack of caring about the criminal behavior that is taking place on their website platform by “independent contractors” strongly suggests to me that they really are not that committed to ensuring the professionalism of the “independent contractors” that they connect to their customers. I am certain that their lack of concern and accountability breeds more criminal activity. Therefore I strongly recommend you stay far away from this site as I believe the odds are great that you will be a victim of fraudulent activity.

Citizen Shipper provided a great way for me to transport three large dogs almost 1500 miles. I had communication issues with the first driver I booked but Citizen Shipper immediately refunded me and allowed me to rebook right away. The second driver I scheduled was amazing. Great service!

I never used a transport service before so I was nervous. The driver was GREAT with my puppies keeping me posted at every stop letting me know that my puppies were always safe.

It was a perfect service I highly recommend to anyone who wants a good service to transport their pets
