After posting my transportation needs for my kittens, I got almost 20 bids relatively quickly. I was connected with Smoky Mountain Express which was a great service to work with! I gave CitizenShippers 4 out of 5 since the only way I knew there would be an additional fee outside of the price of the service was because Smoky Mountain Express shared the fees in their profile. Because of the long distance, it was quite a hefty fee (over 200). I would have been blindsided without the warning from the service provider. I also wish there was a way to pay the seller through CitizenShippers instead of directly. I know there is an escrow account you can pay for pets only but it was not readily available as a payment option. It worked out but I would rather have more peace of mind when paying a stranger. Using personal Venmo/CashApp/PayPal etc. seems more risky than paying CitizenShippers who could then pay out to the service provider after a safe delivery. Overall, I would use this service again to transport pets!

I used them to ship my dog. Everything was pretty legit. The fees are insane though. Almost highway robbery.

I was super nervous about using this platform because of so many scammers here. Fortunately, I was lucky to get a real person who was very professional and kind. I am glad I got connected to him. The biggest flow is CitizenShipper charges $99 to use their platform. My shipping fee was $200 and platform was $99. That's a crazy amount of fee they charge. I'd rather pay more to the driver who actually does the work.

I recently used CitizenShipper to arrange transportation for my pet, and overall, I was very impressed with the platform. The ease of use is truly outstanding. Signing up and creating a listing was quick and intuitive, even for someone who isn’t particularly tech-savvy. What really sets CitizenShipper apart is how quickly you’re matched with potential transporters. Within minutes of posting my request, I received multiple offers from reputable companies and independent drivers, giving me a variety of options to choose from. This level of choice is a huge bonus, as it allowed me to compare rates, read reviews, and select the transporter that best fit my needs and budget. The platform itself is well-designed and user-friendly. Communication with vendors is seamless, and I appreciated the transparency in profiles and reviews, which made me feel confident in my decision. The entire process, from posting my job to finalizing the booking, was smooth and efficient. However, the one drawback I encountered was the CitizenShipper company fee. In addition to paying the transport company directly, I was required to pay an extra $189 fee to CitizenShipper, which is calculated based on the distance of the transport. While I understand the need for a service fee to maintain the platform and ensure quality, this amount felt quite steep, especially on top of the transport costs. I believe a standard fee in the range of $99 to $125 would be much more reasonable and accessible for all users, regardless of the distance involved. Despite this, I would still recommend CitizenShipper for anyone looking for a reliable and efficient way to find pet transport services. The convenience, speed, and variety of options make it a valuable resource, and with a more standardized fee structure, it would be even better.
