This is a shady bank, best to stay clear. There disclosure agreement says you fund transferred( by wire) to saving account will be available in 24 hours , when I transferred $5000. and the money didn't show up in my account after 48 hours I called customer service and was told it would not be available for 14 days. I see other customers have long waits getting there money transferred out. This means they have your money and thousands of other ,for a month. I was told I would be accruing interest on this account even though it was not available, but i haven't seen a cent. Also be prepared for long wait times when trying to contact customer service. Update: It ended up take 9 days for my money to be available in my Cit account. I move $100 out of my Cit account to my local bank and to my surprise it was transferred in 24 hours.

The customer service provided on the phone was excellent. They were extremely helpful and courteous. However, I sent two emails to customer service the 2 weeks prior to me calling and I never received a reply. Email response got 1 star and phone response got 5 stars so cumulative is 3 stars.

I was duped by shady sales tactics to sign a five year worthless lease and now I am stuck with a month payment for a substandard service and locked in for 5 years. As I said in the title, CIT sucks.

CIT's online banking needs more details to satisfy its customers. I opened a No Penalty CD and requested for funds to be pulled from an external account. Account opened Tuesday, funds pulled from external account the next day, Wednesday. However, when I checked online, no information on the transaction was available. I called the 855 number, and customer service said it'll be available on screen the following day, Thursday. It is now Thursday, 6:00 pm. I still see $0.00 balance. Where is my money?

We feel we are not given enough time for payment. We receive the bill and give it to the bookkeeper. The following week she has the check and by this time we are only a day or 2 from being late. Mail is taking roughly 1 week to arrive to us.

I tried to set up an online CIT account for their high-yield savings account but was rejected, I have stellar credit (over 800), no debt and cash to invest. I'm 63 years-old and it's the first time in my life I've been turned down by a bank (especially since I was just attempting to set up an account). I called as I thought it could be a system glitch, but the representative came back with a canned response. I laughed at situation and told them I will be going elsewhere. What a disappointment they are.

If I could give this place 1 star I would! Their online account application is horrendous! I tried everything to get a savings account approved and couldn't. My credit score is 842 and I literally had a huge deposit I wanted to make with this place, but absolutely no one could help me! If it's this hard to get money into the bank, I certainly don't want to find out what it's like to get money out of this bank! Go to Discover or somewhere else......they have excellent customer service, unlike this place!

Worst account opening experience ever. Applied for a saving account online, entered all my info. Next day I got a denial email. No information provided, no info how to find out. Very sketchy ... I called their call center to find out more. No info provided.. asked me to send paper letter to an address in California to request the info. I do have a perfect credit all my life... Very frustrating... possible a HOAX to collect user info and SSN's .. stay away from this place.
