Very disappointed with Cigna. Got a claim (NHS claim) since the 5th of November pending of payment. Now they say that for some admin error they are not paying any claims to anyone in my comoany buy every month I have been paying my monthly pay. ..

Avoid Cigna Part D at all cost
Have now had Cigna Medicare Drug insurance (Part D) for 11 months, who uses Express Scripts to fill prescriptions. I want to save everyone from heartache. DO NOT USE THIS PAN FOR ANY REASON. Pay more for another plan but pay yourself with peace of mind. I can not say enough bad things about this company. They deserve a zero. Web sites are unbelieveable to navigate. Try finding a drug price could take 10 minutes. But wait--the price will be incorrect. You call them and take 10 minutes to speak to a human and they will give you a price and tell you the internet prices are only esitimates, but that will not be the price you saw online, and they cannot see what you see online, and they cannot tell you what pharmacy will honor the price you saw. I even emailed the President of Cigna with my complaint of how difficult the navigation of their website is, even offering my time to discuss with one of their programmers/website developers. Crickets for a response--not even acknowledgement of the email. They also have a company rule which does not allow them to tell you the name of the drug in emails. They only give you the first letter or first few. So you then have to log in to your account to find the name of the drug. Your time is worth nothing to this company. And did I mention, you actually have to log in to 2 different web sites to deal with drugs? You have to log in to Cigna to get the APPROXIMATE drug price, the you have to log in to Express Scripts to see if the drug is available for refill or if prescription is in process. Cigna also has a rule that a NEW prescription will not be shipped until you call them to release it. All printed info sent to me by Cigna did not mention this that I saw. So on 2 occasions, I was waiting, waiting, waiting. When I called they then shipped it. I made multiple complaints to Medicare and got form letters from Cigna, checking in to it. I guess they are still checking--nothing has changed on websites. Please note, Express Scripts did what they were supposed to do, but Cigna, website, and personnel are for the birds. Avoid at all cost.

Severe incompetence
There are seven people in my family. Whoever entered our information must have decided that only four people should be covered because they entered three, that is three out of seven, birthdays incorrectly. We have been denied coverage for claims and been charged thousands of dollars worth of medical bills because they are pretending not to cover us. This seems like fraudulent activity. Just one birthday error is an understandable mistake, but three out of seven seems like they are intentionally trying not to cover medical claims. By the time I discovered the actual problem, many of the bills had already been paid out of pocket or sent to a collection agency. This has caused me personal damage and taken countless hours to deal with.

Let’s see if they actually fix it.
If they do not, I will be doing a charge back of the $171 i have just paid for my monthly premium because this would show that this company is a fraud. I need my refund back!

Worse Health Insurance Ever!! Stay Away!!
I had a hip replacement. Surgeon recommended physical therapy (PT) 4 times a weeks. Got denied by Cigna: Twice a week should be enough they said (because of course they know better than a surgeon!!). Consequence: If you get half the recommended treatment, it takes twice the time for you to recover. My plan includes 60 PT sessions a year. After 29, I was denied further treatment because I was not improving fast enough!! So Cigna concluded that PT was not the right treatment!! Go figure a way to recover from your surgery yourself!!
Response from CignaOct 23, 2020
I am truly sorry for your frustration and understandably so. I would like the chance to look into your PT benefits and help however I can. Please email me at [email protected] for further assistance. Thank you. - TLC

Terrible business practices
Terrible business practices! My daughter has been sick for a year and they have denied her treatment over and over again. She has seen numerous specialist who all agree on her treatment path which would cure her. Instead the insurance company denies every claim while my daughter lives in misery everyday of her life. A quick google search will show that Cigna revenue for 2019 was $153.6 billion! How are they making so much money you may wonder. Well I can tell you they are getting rich off of the pain and suffering of others. I hope karma catches up with them in my lifetime.
You should feel disgusted that you allow a 9 year old child to live in pain so you can line your pockets with money.
Follow up: Just so everyone knows I did reach out to the Cigna person that responded below and received no response. I've been paying out of pocket for my daughters treatments the last two months and also seen another specialist. The new doctor has recommended a different treatment which he submitted and we were denied yet again. This company is unbelievable. If you have any other choice in healthcare chose a different company or you could be denied serious medical treatments that you need.

Cigna - why we need federal healthcare
Cigna makes the case for why we should have federal health insurance. There web application for finding an in network doctor is completly erroneous. The contacts for the top 20 doctors Cigna suggested near me all either lead to doctor offices that were no longer practicing or didn't exist. Several of the numbers led to a Planned Parenthood office who kindly and repeatedly explained to me that despite what Cigna said, they do not have the type of doctor I was looking for. I never did find an in network doctor through there webapp. The itself insurance covers little. I miss my healthcare in Namibia, but I guess I can't expect the same quality in a third world country like the US.
