I have patiently waited on the phone last week for over 30 minutes using the published UK number to try to talk to someone – to no avail. Eventually used the option on the phone to request a callback – nothing so far So now have sent an email to the email address suggested in previous responses in this forum. Let's see what happens! I am so appalled by this company that I would advise people not to join. I have been with Bupa in the past and never had a problem. I have been owed money by Cigna which I am clearly entitled too as stated in their terms and conditions, forget having a conversation about payment/the matter, no one has ever replied to my messages about this.I get no response to emails and when I call I am told I will get a call back which never happens. This has been ongoing for 5 months and it has now got to the point where I have no faith in this company.

I am a busy professional and have tried a number of times to call an adviser to get approval for a medical procedure. Each time I have held on for more than twenty minutes. One time the call just dropped after I was holding on for fifteen minutes. I cannot use the call back service as I cannot be sure I will be free for the call. This is unacceptable service. Further to this initial review I was contacted by the customer service team who promised a follow up which has not materialised, despite me chasing. How are people who need medical approval supposed to interact with Cigna?

I am currently at 1 hour 48 minutes and counting of being on hold to reach an operator to gain authorisation for medical treatment. The call back service does not work. You do nor reply to emails. This is an utterly dreadful service particularly considering most people trying to reach you are already under stress due to a need for medical appointments UPDATE: The call was finally answered after 1 hour 50 minutes on hold. The operator was not confident at all in the process and put me on hold after each question leaving me fearful of being cut off each time. I was finally given authorisation details after 2 hours and 5 minutes. How on earth can you justify the premiums for this, it feel like the company is trying to wear people down so they don't claim..

1 star because you can’t give zero... don’t waste your money, Cigna will do everything possible to not pay. You have to wait 10 working days for a response to either an email or a request made over phone - zero sense of customer service and considering this is health insurance you would think they would hire people with empathy and some people skills who can deal with people who are sick but absolutely not the case.

I would put zero stars, appalling customer service, they ignore emails and if you try to call them expext to wait more than 2h!

Submitted claim online and states it has been settled but I never received reimbursement. Can't get through on the phone ever!! Looks like my company chose cheap over service. And I pay extra for the 'top level' cover.

I'm a member through a corporate arrangement. Unfortunately having tried on multiple occasions I've been unable to get through to an agent. The IVR directs customers to a call back service but again unfortunately I didn't receive a call back. Not sure why I contribute so much to a service that is clearly not geared up or resilient to deal with demand. Not sure how this constitutes a good outcome to their customers
