The absolute WORST. They will do everything not to pay back what clients are entitled to.

The absolute worst ever. I enrolled with Cigna Preferred Medicare HMO at the end of April 2020 effective date May 1, 2021. As of today (8/3/2021) I have been unable to register on their website and I constantly encounter issues with doctors' offices having difficulty confirming my account. After having spent hours on the phone with customer service I have given up and now await open enrollment. I wouldn't recommend Cigna to ANYONE.

Awful pointless insurance, how can three fillings end up costing me nearly £1000!! Lack of transparency, misleading documentation and limits that make the insurance pointless.

they outsource physical therapy to american specialty health which is a company so greedy they are being sued by large nationwide physician organizations for lack of coverage & reimbursement. If using Cigna, Take it upon yourself to ask for the letter to request a change in who covers physics therapy cost management for your plan.

rip off is the best word to describe this insurance plan. imagine paying $300/month only to get nothing of real value. your calls will be sent to a call center abroad. They can't even answer basic questions like "do I need a referral to see XYZ specialist". The customer rep have to do 10 minutes research while I was on the phone to answer that question. after 10 minutes he asked me "what state are you in?". needless to say I didn't trust a word he said. I basically decided to email them my question so I have their answer in writing. no online chat feature either for HMO plan at least. And even worse is their website. they are clueless company. When I join they assigned me a doc as my PCP but when I called his office they told he's not accepting new patients. finally the list of in-network doctors is tiny even in a major city/Chicago.

I cannot agree more with the negative reviews: one excuse after another and a different story every time I ask about the claim. Cigna has yet to pay my claim, even when I have a letter FROM CIGNA saying it's a covered expense and have provided multiple documents as per their requests. They have made one empty promise after another, and I feel like I have been outright lied to on multiple occasions. You will NEVER speak to a supervisor--in any department, no matter who or how many times you ask: they simply can't seem to find one. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I want to first address the misinformation constantly being presented by the representatives. They tell me something is covered at 50% yet the claim is always denied. Regardless of the that, the hold times since a few months ago have been appalling! The website does not assist with claim questions, the hold times are over an hour every time and I never seem to get a callback when requested. With how much this insurance company makes, where is it all going? Definitely NOT to the employees, hardly the patients, and definitely NOT the providers. Their fee schedules are disturbing considering how much costs of living has changed and policy price changes.
