If you want insurance that is difficult to deal with and constantly denies your needed treatment, this is the plan for you. They eagerly look to deny claims rather than provide care. After my last claim was denied, I decided it was time to switch providers. First, I was unable to cancel their services online. I sent them an email clearly stating that I wanted to cancel my account with them, they ignored it, and they still charged me $49. Since that didn't work, I called them to cancel, and I had to wait for over an hour on hold. When I spoke to them, they said they would cancel the service and provide a refund for the last unauthorized charge. Not only did they not refund the previous amount like they said they would, but they also charged me another $49. Now I'm in the process of disputing the claims with my bank. In total, they didn't cover any of my dental work, didn't cancel my account as requested, continued to charge my card, and wasted over 2 hours of my time. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS POSSIBLE!

No one picks up the phone. I went out of the country and had fraud on a debit card and card was closed so autopay didn’t go through. I tried calling customer service for days. They ended up canceling my dental insurance. I tried calling to reinstate or anything at least. But I’ll be looking elsewhere because it’s hard to reach them.

I was trying to pay you guys. I was #2 in the q and sat on hold for 45 min. I called back and opted for the return call option. I was next in the q and hung up after 20 min. If your customer service has no awareness of the lack of attention then someone needs to figure it out!

Thank goodness if no our insurance anymore the worse company ever, we've been claiming with them a dental service for 4 months are disrespectful in treating people, you can't see the claim because supposedly the dental cannot be done through the website, y but they do not explain that in their site. Since we call for an update the representative informed us that you have to do it by phone with representatives and you send the information by private email, so far they have made me do the process 4 times, and you don't receive any call or notification anything, and when you call them always missing something according to the person who answers that is always someone different and you have to be 45 minutes explaining everything again. To this date we have not received any response since the claim was made in September, a health insurance shame, there is no respect for the patient.

I had the catastrophic misfortune of being covered by Cigna for one month. As a patient with psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, I require monthly injections. Prior to the month with Cigna, I had taken my once-monthly injections consistently, without complications, and with full resolution of my symptoms, for 2 years. In one month with Cigna, my doctor and I were unable to successfully navigate the barriers Cigna created for me to obtain my injections. Because of these barriers, I was unable to get my injections and therefore went without my medicine for the month when I was covered. Failing to take my medicine puts me at risk of failing the therapy completely and requiring a new medication. It puts me at risk of having a psoriasis flare up all over my skin, and debilitating pain in my joints as my body produces chemicals to destroy them. Once a psoriasis flare begins, it can be difficult to control, and unmanageable psoriasis is associated with all kinds of mental and physical comorbodities. While I imagine that Cigna’s unethical policies are legal in the hellscape we call American healthcare, there is no doubt that Cigna profited this past month from the refusal to cover my injections. I purchase my Cigna prescription plan through the healthcare exchange. Therefore, I will be filing a formal complaint with the federal government over the inclusion of companies like Cigna that make money by denying FDA-approved medicine to paying customers. I am also closely tracking my symptoms in case they return. Should I suffer health consequences as a result of the denial, I will sue Cigna for the physical and mental anguish and permanent joint damage that result.

I have had Cigna insurance for the past 7 years without a claim other than routine dental exams. I recently had an issue that necessitated the services of an endodontist. I called to make sure the Dr I went to visit was in-network which they were and I asked how much coverage I had remaining of my $1500 max benefit. They said that I had over $1200 remaining that would cover my endodontist visit. The very first thing any endodontist does is a cone beam x-ray (cat scan) of the diseased area in your mouth. Guess what - not covered by Cigna. In fact, of the $909 billed by the endodontist, only $79.40 was covered (I saved $32 by staying in network with a Dr that has contracted rates with Cigna). The contracted rate for the cone beam x-ray was $877 but for some reason, even though they have a contracted rate, they don't cover it. What a joke. Contracted rates for something that they don't cover? Sounds boarder-line fraudulent to me. I have paid close to $1000 a year for the last 7 years without a major claim. When I finally need to use the insurance, very little is actually covered. What's the point of buying insurance if it doesn't cover anything. I would give them ZERO stars if possible. DO NOT BUY INSURANCE FROM CIGNA. Worthless. I will be self-insuring the $1000 per year I am currently paying Cigna for worthless insurance. The government needs to regulate dental insurance more vigorously. They take your money without paying claims. It's shameful.

Scammers!! U get 0 service for what u pay. Its an evil disgusting company, don't just go somewhere else, RUN SOMEWHERE ELSE!!

I regret ever signing up with CIGNA. They are the most useless Insurance provider you can ever have. PLEASE RUN!!!!! They have the worst customer service in the industry and you can never get connected to a supervisor upon request. The only time I got connected to supervisor, they are all birds of the same feather. Please close down if you can not perform the services your customers are paying for
