This company has one of the poorest trained sales reps in any industry. They are unqualified, lack basic knowledge of the policies and poorly trained. Cancelling policy today! Stay away from this terribly run company.

Buyer Beware
Was unable to post without giving a star, and zero was not an option otherwise it would be a HUGE ZERO..... Unbelievably horrible experience. I as told 2 different things by customer service, neither of which followed through. Cancelled my policy due to their misleading information and have yet to get my refund. I highly recommend if you are looking for ANY kind of insurance, look elsewhere, because honest and great customer service is NOT Cigna's top priority, if it is one at all.

Scammers who are money hungry !!! AVOID THEM!!!
My father was with them and have paid his premiums etc, he's old school and isn't exactly up with this time and day with electronics and emails etc. They're blaming him for not telling them that he no longer uses an email address as he doesn't know how to use that kind of thing as I've said he's old-school and doesn't understand emails etc. They're blaming him for not telling them that when it's not his fault at all, they could have rung him by phone or sent things via in the post/mail. They're refusing to refund him all the money he has paid, as they weren't giving him any notifications of why his payments weren't going out in his bank statements which has been ongoing for a while. Yet he gets the blame for not letting them know about the non use of an email address. They're rude and couldn't ring him to ask him about if he's getting emails or not I don't see why you guys couldn't ring him to let him know how is it his fault?!. Good luck cigna cause you now have a fight on your hands. He's owed a $1000 or more from you guys. So unless you refund his money you'll be taken to court and through the lawyer. Good luck to you considering the amount of bad reviews I've been reading on here. Is this what you like to do to people scam them and take money. It's always about money aye to you sort of people.
I feel sorry for other people who are old-school and don't know how to use emails or any type of social media etc. This is what people need to understand. Wouldn't be surprised if you've done this to other older people above the age of 50, 60+. Money hungry companies just want your money.
Here's some advice for you.
YOU CAN'T TAKE MONEY WITH YOU WHEN YOU DIE SO WHY IS IT SO IMPORTANT TO PEOPLE LIKE YOU.
Take a step back and think about that one money only pays for you to live for God sakes. I don't recommend this company. Not good enough. Using lame excuses.
I would do research on these types of companies before even getting with them. Make sure you look at their reviews too.

Hard to reach a real human.
It is very hard to reach a real human being past the robot. The robot does not understand my specific question/concern and it gives very generic answers which I can find it myself in their website. Even when I reach a person in the customer service, I couldn't understand them clearly and they also give generic answers. The In-network care givers list in Cigna website is out-of-date. So, one has to always call Cigna and verify whether the provider is still in-network or not. When we call, we are being tested for our patience. A sick person who is in need of medical help shouldn't have to go through this ordeal.

The World's Worst Customer Service
There is no company in the world that has worse service than Cigna. I have spent a total of ten hours so far concerning a claim that is 100% covered by my plan and have been given the run around for nearly three months. Every time I call, I get a different story that contradicts what another Cigna representative says. They have laughed at me and insulted me. When I ask to speakj to a supervisor they tell me there is no supervisor. This company should be immediately put out of business for the way it rips honest people off.

Worst service
Worst service. This horroble company should provide support for health. If you have an emergency, you will die. Absolute worst service. It will never allow you to login into your account. Every three months you ate obliged to change password. If you forget it and try resetting it, it just says, "Sorry we cannot log you in at this time" even though you verify everything. This happens every single time. I wish some would sue these monsters. All they want is your money!

BREACH OF TRANSPARENCY LAW-BEWARE
I went for regular doctor visit coded as "established patient visit"
The doctor and facility are in-network-Cigna is frequently inconsistent call-to-call. I take notes and get cal reference numbers for all contacts. Often, the Cigna agents give misinformation, or are inconsistent in what they tell you is covered. I was told in one day that my deductible was met, it wasn't met, it was...I called ahead on 9/12 to ensure that my only responsibility for a specialist appointment was my $50 copay and was told it was for an in-network doctor.
I called ahead before scheduling, to insurance co. and doctors office to ensure:
(1) both were in-network
(2) my only financial obligation would be the $50 specialist copay
Because I have had issues with billing in the past, I checked the Cedars website, the Cigna website and called both the doctor's office and Cigna to make certain that the total cost would be the $50 copay.
Two months later, I received a bill from Cedars for a "facility fee"!
The bill said I was delinquent, although I had not received an earlier invoice.
I checked the paperwork I signed, the Cigna website, the doctors listing, (he has no other office location), and non of these places list a facility fee for a standard office visit. This is fraud. I called the office and Cigna, and they state that the doctor is an "independent contractor". This still doesn't allow them to surprise patient with a facility fee without disclosing this information anywhere.
