I have been trying to get my claim finalized for months. First I mailed everything I needed to and "they never received it". That was convenient. Then I did it online and they needed more information. Then I faxed everthing in and they couldn't read the fax, so I called and the person said she could absolutely read the fax and didn't understand why they told me that. I could go on and on and on with the calls I have made. It is a terrible way to do business and to treat good customers. It's just awful. I would NEVER recommend this company based on my experience.

Spoke to both customer service representatives regarding a claim number and they are both rude! They sound condescending and rude all throughout the call. They also sound as if they hate working. Those types of agents should be terminated. I even asked for a supervisor multiple times but they said there is none which is impossible. I want someone to contact me back as I want this to be escalated higher. Change the CSRs you outsource!

Can Cigna please hire people who can communicate in English? If ever there's an issue, it takes me at least five calls to finally get my question attended to.

I have had 3 major insurance brands and this is the worst one yet. I have been in extreme pain and looking forward to a treatment to finally feel better, and the hospital calls me to tell me that insurance hasnt approved my claim in time or denied it all together. This has happened 3 times. Their default is to deny your claim even when the doctors have ensured me it is medically necessary and they have documented this in their notes. I have to appeal almost every decision which takes a ton of time and effort, especially when you already ill. Their customer service is a nightmare, being transferred multiple times to completely unrelated departments only to explain multiple times unsuccessfully. The healthcare in this country is extremely broken and this is a perfect example.

I have called several times for my children ID card, one agent tried to tell me that they don't even mail them out anymore, so I asked how I was supposed to get the ID number and he said oh they changed the policy and he didn't know, he can mail me one, that was 3 weeks ago. I called again today to just get their ID number, because they have appointments tomorrow, and was asked for their social. I've never had to give their social before, so I refused to give it today, i told the agent that I would give the birthday and mailing address, she still refused to give me the ID,I told her that they take my money but refuse to give me information that i pay for,so I asked for another agent and she refused to transfer me to anyone else. As of today I stopped payment on that plan and currently looking for something else. The agents are rude and I will not pay anyone that does not want to give me the info that I asked for.

I had a Cigna Supplemental Health Plan. The amount of time it takes for them to process is ridiculous. I've been waiting over two months just for them to review. Going back to AFLAC. The longest I have waited with them is a week (five business days).
