This is the worst insurance we have ever had. They don't sent EOB's even after requested. They claim they didn't receive provider's claims. Do yourself a favor. Stay away from Cigna.

I cancelled my policy but Cigna continued to take automatic payments from my bank account. I did not notice this in my transactions for a couple of months. I called them trusting that they would stop and issue a refund which at the time Customer Service said it would and I was distracted enough to delay putting a stop on the auto payment as my next transaction statement showed thy took the $208 monthly for the third month after I cancelled. I have contacted Customer Service and provide them with all the information they requested. That was a month ago and I was at the time told that a confirmation email would be in my inbox within 24 hours. Not receiving it had prompted me to resend it several time with yet no response. A week ago I again called Customer service and was told they had no record of my efforts. Finally the person I spoke to found my emails in their unopened cache. He then told me another story that typically it takes a while before an email is read and processed but he would show it to his supervisor and call me back in a couple of days. I asked for his name and the name of the supervisor and a shortcut contact. He told me his name was Jonathan (call center in El Salvador). He said he wasn't allowed to give me anything else. Jonathan agreed to email me promptly and confirm cancellation and approximately when a refund was coming. I'm going to continue to call but I believe Cigna, like some other companies, makes it so difficult to return overcharges that we give up asking. This is a grey area but still in my opinion is fraud. One star given reluctantly. The auto payments go back January-March. It is 04/14/25 at this writing.

Cigna is only interested in money not heath care. After a terrible injury ,I received a settlement in September of 2024 and Cigna demanded ,without negotiating 1/3 of my settlement. They took 1/3 of my settlement. I paid high premiums monthly. I paid high co pays and I also paid high medical bills that were my portion of the plan we had. We had to pay 25% of all of my medical bills. It took years to pay it off and then they took my settlement. I totally understand why people are disgusted by the corporate greed with insurance companies and Cigna is one of the most egregious ones. Have they not taken enough money out of our pockets that they need take from people’s settlements they receive so they can have the assurance that their future medical needs are taken care of without worry or going bankrupt? I hope Cigna goes bankrupt. I believe in karma. Karma ,do your job. I’ll wait patiently. Never trust or use Cigna. They are crooks

A Fraud Company, Big Fraud company. Never handles claims correctly, There are alot of hiddnen things which End user can never know. Everytime they will calculate in such a way, you will get the almost same out of pocket when you go without insurance. Save from youself from them.

I called in regarding a billing statement question I had about preventative care. She was impatient from beginning to end. Her way of dealing with customers is not right. She needs to learn how to be patient and listen to the customers and not snap at them. She HUNG UP on me during the conversation which was absolutely unacceptable.

Customer service "advocates" are not trained to help customers resolve issues. They seem to be trained on how to delay processing or reprocessing of claims. Multiple conversations, multiple emails providing documentation requested, multiple times being told the documentation was received. I was told the claim reprocessing was being expedited only to call back a week later for them to tell me they didn't have the documentation again. Even a supervisor stated she couldn't see the documentation that was provided, even though I verified with an "advisor" last week that they did in fact have it and she read to me the date of service of the file to ensure she had the correct file. Cigna's customer service team should be investigated for fraudulent and unethical business practices and training of their employees. I wouldn't be surprised if they are incentivized to help delay claims processing. Do not believe them if they confirm they have something or if they say they will call you back or if they say they are expediting the claim. Be diligent, call back to verify as often as it takes to ensure your claims processing is not being delayed.

Cigna is a terrible company with designed loops to keep their customers from receiving benefits.
