I know that the insurance companies exist solely to take your hard earned money away from you, but I cannot stand when they make you crazy. I am insured through my work organisation and we are paying them a lot of money. However, they keep changing the medical plan in the middle of the treatment as they please. It is so bad that whoever is thinking of having them as an insurance company must be out of his mind. Stay away from them!

STAY AWAY FROM CIGNA!!
STAY AWAY FROM CIGNA!! I had a radical hysterectomy done by an in-network surgeon in an in-network hospital, and it's a covered surgery. I woke up with a pain level of 8, a cortisone IV in my arm, a catheter connected in my bladder, my vagina full of padding to contain external bleeding, and a nurse coming to check regularly for any internal bleeding. Nevertheless, according to Cigna this is an OUT-PATIENT surgery!! REALLY?? It's been over 3 months, and they haven't paid a single bill, having all the service providers jumping through hoops like crazy, and keeping on rejecting all claims!! If you want peace of mind, stay away from Cigna, just another greedy health insurance which doesn't care about patients wellness and safety.

Cigna dropping our Sun Alliance Hospital Income Plan
I have been reading various articles (including the one below) where loyal customers have been paying into these type of Hospital Income Plans
for many years only to receive a letter stating that Cigna are no longer offering the cover.
We too have been dumped, and cannot find the same level of cover at a comparable price due to our ages. Many wont even entertain a new member
once they have reached 64.
We support everything Hayley Jones has mentioned in her letter, and expect more are paying in for so long.
Preferably we would have expected a transfer of our policy if Cigna was pulling out, or at least a fair compensation for all the money we invested in
this policy over the years.

Worst Insurance Company going
Worst Insurance Company going
This is one Company you should definitely stay away from. It is in excess of 1 year since my mother was killed in a RTC by a speeding drunk driver (he was sentenced at the start of August to 10 years) and they have still not paid out her life insurance despite my Sister chasing them. Please save your loved ones from the Trauma this Company will put them through.

I have received a letter notifying me…Lloyds Bank Hospital Cash Plan
I have received a letter notifying me my Lloyds Bank Hospital Cash Plan is being cancelled. I have paid into the plan for over 25 years and have been a lifelong member ( approx 50years ) with Lloyds Bank. As I others in the same situation as myself I also believe the plan is now being cancelled due to my age. Does anyone know if there is anyway we can be compensated for the money we have invested in these insurance plans over many years. I believe it is unjust that Cigna and Lloyds Bank who endorsed the policy should be able to cancel it now when we are more likely to need it than ever. We are not asking for something for nothing- we have paid into these policies in good faith over the years - these policies should be honored!

Officially done with you guys
To be honest, if I could, I would be giving 0 stars, but the lowest is 1 star. I was a former employee of Cigna and the department I worked in was horrible. My last day with Cigna was in August. I tried to do my department a favor by ending my last day on a Sunday since we do not have much agents on the weekend shifts, however, they ended up screwing me over! My last pay check DID NOT include my last days worth of pay. I contacted the lady that does our payroll to be told “it will be in the next pay check because Sunday starts a new week.” Okay fine.. I’ll wait.. the next pay day came by and still no pay check so I contacted her again 2 business days later and her response is “I am sorry I do not. Do you have a number listed on your paystub? I would think they would be able to tell you where that money is.” Basically a brush off. Contacted Employee Services and was told that my manager or HR would need to call and have them fix my term date because my manager or whoever decided to term me on my last day, which meant Saturday was my last day, therefore, they would have to call Employee Services to correct the issue. I contacted payroll lady and did not receive a response for 2 business days so I contacted my manager and cc’d his manager and payroll lady.. but guess what? No response for 3 business days now.. so I decided to send an updated email asking if they can give me an update. Finally my manager responded “I will look into this and get back to you. Thanks for reaching out”. Waited 2 business days, no emails so I decided to take action. I contacted Employer Services again and asked them if my manager or anyone called to fix this error.. only to be told nope, so they tried to call my manager but he didn’t pick up. I’m furious at this point. It’s been more than a month and I’m missing few hours. So I decided to email everyone but this time, I included his manager’s manager. Finally he calls Employee Services back and has it updated. It literally took 5-10m to do.. but then again, I am not surprised because my manager just brushed me off.. just like he always has, which prompt me to finally leave. I’m sorry cigna, I’ve been an employee for 5 years total only to be treated bad. I asked to be off weekend shifts but was told there’s a “list” only to find out that everyone else but me is able to get off the weekend. I’ve asked for an earlier shift, but was told it didn’t work, however, prior to me leaving and them finding my replacement, they were able to give it to another agent and gave them permanent work at home. It makes you wonder how the department is handled. The company as a whole is great.. but I seriously think something needs to be done with this department. You have employees leaving every month and it’s all for the same reasons. Managers are not managers. They have their favorites that they favor. In the end, I did receive my last pay check. I am finally done with you guys!
