This is the only Fresh Food company that sent out a statement regarding tartarate crystals that are showing up in dogs who are being fed a fresh food diet. No other company sent out an email or explanation of what was going on. I respect this. While this is more cost effective for smaller dogs, I wouldn't be opposed to trying it on my Malinois or Corgi.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! Transparency and education are very important to us, which is why we make sure to communicate openly about things like tartrate crystals and any other nutritional topics that can affect dogs on fresh food diets. Our goal has always been to help pet parents understand why things happen and how real, balanced food supports long-term health. We’re so glad you value that approach. If you decide to try Chi Dog with your Malinois or Corgi, we’d love to help you get started with the right recipes and portions. Thank you again for your trust and for recognizing the care we put into every detail. Warmly, The Chi Dog Team

Timothy, Thank you so much for sharing this — we’re thrilled to hear your dog is doing so well! That’s exactly what we love to see. Our Fire Diet was designed with lean turkey and low fat ingredients to support digestive health and inflammation, making it an excellent option for dogs with pancreatitis. It’s wonderful that his pancreatitis is quiescent and he’s feeling great on Chi Dog! I have an elderly dog with Cushing’s Disease. She was losing her appetite and losing a lot of weight. We went through 4 foods until finding one that she had the appetite and desire to eat including kibble, freeze dried, and fresh. Finally we landed on Chi Dog. While we do add a few vet recommendations to the food to help her gain weight and muscle, my pooch seems to really enjoy the texture and taste of the Chi Dog Fire Diet. It’s actually shredded turkey and veggies. It doesn’t turn into some mush like other frozen foods. A vet tech from Chi Dog actually reached out to check on my pooch and gave solid recommendations to help with her low appetite, and ensured us that we could speak to a veterinarian on staff if desired. Chi Dog is the only food that my pooch will clean her bowl for at every meal time! I can’t tell you all how much relief we feel now that my pooch is eating regularly and is excited for meal time again. 🥹 Highly recommend!

Derek, Thank you so much for sharing this review! We’re so happy to hear your sweet girl is enjoying the Fire Diet and eating regularly again. For dogs with Cushing’s disease, the Fire Diet’s cooling and anti-inflammatory ingredients — like lean turkey, carrots, and broccoli — help support balance and calm internal “heat,” which can contribute to appetite loss and restlessness. The shredded texture and real, human-grade ingredients also make it easier to enjoy and digest. Our team, including our vet techs and veterinarians, genuinely cares about helping each pup feel their best, so we’re thrilled to hear that outreach made a difference. Knowing she’s cleaning her bowl and regaining weight is exactly why we do what we do. Thank you again for trusting us and for recommending Chi Dog — give your pup some extra love from all of us! Warmly, The Chi Dog Team
