Do not use Cheaptickets or any other big business/non customer service oriented website like this. Sure they're great until you have a problem. Flights are maybe a little cheaper this way, but it is not worth the risk. I was stuck on Bali Island with an exploding volcano and a cancelled flight and because I did not book directly through the airline I could get no help. There is no one specific that can help you, you get bounced around to a bunch of people who don't care, and you will lose money and possibly your safety because of it. I was never helped with a new flight or way off the island, I had to go through a completely new service, and I am still fighting for my money back for the cancelled flight. All you will be told is that it's not their problem because it's not their airline, and then the airline will say they don't have to help you because you didn't book through them. It's a nightmare. Using these big sites is the easiest way to get screwed if there's a problem.

Wij hebben tickets geboekt bij een budget maatschappij via de website. Bij het boeken werd aangegeven dat handbagage altijd gratis is. Aangezien we maar een weekje weggaan moet handbagage lukken dachten wij. Ruimbagage was nog de enige optie om bij te boeken. Na het boeken kregen wij vervolgens een link naar de luchtvaartmaatschappij met de bagagevoorwaarden waaruit bleek dat er een verschil werd gemaakt tussen 2 soorten handbagage. Het blijkt dus dat we de grotere handbagage (ipv handtas formaat) apart moeten bijboeken. Bij het boeken via cheaptickets was nergens kenbaar gemaakt dat deze optie bijgeboekt kan worden en lijkt het alsof er maar 1 type handbagage is. Telefonisch contact opgenomen met de klantenservice. Erg onvriendelijke dame gesproken die constant aan bleef geven dat wij op de website van cheaptickets en van de luchtvaartmaatschappij de bagagevoorwaarden hadden moeten checken en dat dit duidelijk op de website staat vermeld. Echter dit kon zij ons niet laten zien op de website waarop zij had opgehangen... Totaal niet oplossingsgericht en erg onbeleefd. Helemaal gefrustreerd nogmaals moeten bellen waarbij door een andere dame het verhaal nog een keer werd herhaald (hoewel op een iets minder onbeleefde manier) en maar nog een keer werd benadrukt dat wij niet hebben nagedacht bij het boeken om de bagagevoorwaarden goed te checken op de website van de luchtvaartmaatschappij. Ongelofelijk dat bij het boeken niet alle informatie beschikbaar was op de website en dat wij daarvan de schuld krijgen ook! Daarnaast kan de klantenservice of website verder niks voor ons betekenen en mogen we de rest bijboeken en regelen op de website van de luchtvaartmaatschappij. Cheaptickets, NOOIT MEER! Misleidend, onduidelijk en erg onvriendelijk personeel.

I am beyond disappointed with this company. I was in a hurry to book immediate tickets to see a sick family member in FL. I had purchased the cheapest ticket I could find, and once I purchased this ticket, I had reviewed the itinerary and realized I would arrive to FL at 12am and leave again at 9am. I had no idea and I cancelled right away. I still saw that they charged me $576 on my credit card. I called, and they said that this was a non-refundable purchase. I am beyond angry and upset because it did not state clearly that this would be the case. I am a student and I am struggling with finances. It is disappointing that this place did not refund at least some of the purchase. Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable that this site did not state this clearly. It was obviously stupid of me to buy this in such a hurry, but again, my circumstances were dire. This was such a stupid deal for such stupid hours.

Too bad we didn’t read the reviews here first. We booked our tickets for the 10th of January and we checked in 2 times before booking.... when we get the confirmation the tickets has changed date to the 7th where we can’t fly !! It doesn’t make any sense to us. So we called them and very nice Indian or Pakistani guy in customer service said that he would cancel the ticket and we will get a full refund as we called straight after. We hope everything goes well. Fingers crossed

Scam website. They cancelled part of my flight AFTER I booked it, and tried to upsell me on a more expensive flight. Thankfully I had time to book through another website. I asked for my money back and they tried to weasel their way out of it. I threatened to report them to TICO and magically they were able to issue me a refund right away! Stay away, terrible website!

Bought a ticket I had to cancel due to medical reasons. Was told that they would apply a $281.20 credit to my next reservation. When I tried to use the credit, I was informed that there was a $444 charge for changing flights, plus a $125 charge by Alaska Airlines. Plus, the ticket was over $700 when I could make the reservation online for between $580-$620. First and last time I'll use Cheaptickets!!!

On May 30, I made a prepaid motel reservation with Cheaptickets. I received an email from Cheaptickets confirming the reservation (itinerary #726966316). When I arrived at the motel, there was no reservation; they'd heard nothing from Cheaptickets. This was, at least, the third time Cheaptickets had pulled this trick on me over several months. When they fail, they rarely take responsibility. They certainly bring shame on parent company Expedia. Needless to say, I've never used these fraudulent clowns again.

I booked a ticket to ABE from DSM on 10/13/17 and payment cleared my bank on 10/16 for a flight on 11/11/17. Never received ANY confirmation so searched several.airlines the AM of 11/10 until Delta found my return info and confirmation. It was Then that I discovered Cheap Tickets had booked me into Philadelphia, Not ABE. And that changes could Not be made. Once in Philadelphia, I had to rent a car and drive almost 4 hours to my destination. I couldn't afford to keep the car all week so ended up returning the car on 11/13 and attempted to change flight, go standby, any way to return because I had no way back to resort I had booked. Again, it was Delta that told me I couldn't change my ticket in any way because of Cheap Tickets purchase. I tried to work with your employee but there was no budging, even though I hadn't received confirmation, etc. I ended up in a hotel at my expense until Thursday! Your "cheap" ticket ended up costing me close to $900 and 6 nights in a city I had never intended to be in. I am disgusted with your company and will Never use it, recommend it, and will enlighten my friends so that they do the same.
