Plus size is lacking...
I am very happy Charlotte Russe carries plus sizes, but they have some learning to do. Whoever is designing their plus clothes isn't actually thinking about plus-size women. They're designing dresses for "thinner" women and then they're sizing them up. That doesn't work. For instance, a lot of heavier women need "support" and their plunging lines and spaghetti-thin straps don't work for that. They also have a ton of "bodycon" style dresses that are tight and show off bellies. Not every plus woman is comfortable showing off their body. There's evidence in this trend when the dresses and shirts that "hide" back fat and stomach rolls sell out quicker than hot cakes in winter! The sizing is hit-and-miss. Sometimes I'm a 2 and sometimes a 1. It depends on the fabric which is a shame. All of their sizing should be pretty spot-on if they're using the same fabrication and manufacturing company. All of their more quality plus size clothing is located online but if you order the wrong size, you have to pay to ship it back (they send you the label for free but they take the cost of the shipping out of the refund). If you're lucky enough to have a store near you, you can return it there but beware: Their in-store clothing for plus girls is lacking big time. The racks are filled with online returns so you can't find 2 of the same thing or multiple sizes of something you like. I think if Charlotte Russe is going to cater at ALL to curvier women they need to pay attention to their demographics and pretend to actually care. Right now it seems like they have a small plus size section just to keep us fat girls quiet and to "appear" to be inclusive.
