The guitar had glue all over it from the picture. The piece that was signed, was crooked and not glued very well and coming off when I receive the package I have many signed guitars from the Eagles and Don Henley and this is the only one that does not look professional at all. I will think twice about ordering any memorabilia from Charitybuzz. Sincerely, Gary.

Hi Gary, We're really sorry to hear about the the guitar. We always want to make sure our donated items are the highest quality. We're investigating internally exactly what happened and how this was not caught sooner. In the meantime a member of our team will be in touch with you to discuss a refund and work with you on next steps. Please be on the look out for that communication shortly!

Being able to see all the different overs you guys have with no pressure, if a person interested in any item he or she can just bid on it and move on. Also I did not know that we can really meet and greet some of the biggest and famous people in all fields.

Beware of Hidden premium fees!
BEWARE HIDDEN PREMIUM FEES ON WINNING BIDS! Just realized that I was charged 25.3% above and beyond my winning bid on an item. If you read other reviews of “Charitybuzz”, you’ll see that the majority of reviewers are complaining about the same issue. There is no proclamation that is obvious to the bidder that these hidden charges exist. It’s all in the fine print. It’s underhanded. You will get a response that will tell you that this charge is customary as with most other auction houses (20%). In my case, I was charged almost 26%! Then they’ll tell you they’re looking at ways to improve the experience and that your comments will be taken seriously by their staff. This is my first (and last time) dealing with this dishonest so-called charitable organization).

Hi there- Thanks for taking the time to reach out. We apologize if some of our fees came as a surprise. The buyer's premium fee is applied to all lots, and shipping costs, as well as sales tax, will be charged when applicable. We do denote this throughout the site, including on every lot page, and will continue working on ways to better interact with and communicate this to our customers. We are genuinely committed to improving the customer experience, and a team member has reached out to you via email to further address your concerns. Our shipping team is also monitoring your item's tracking information to make sure that your item gets to you in a timely manner. We want to thank you again for your feedback, and look forward to further assisting you.

The auction fees are too high and the auctions in general don’t offer a lot of transparency. I didn’t read any reviews before I commented but you can see the complaints are all the same, hidden buried fees. Put it on the bid page! As you can see from the response that they gave to my critique, it’s all cut and paste. Put the fees and the taxes and the shipping cost on the bid page or here’s even a better idea when the person has to confirm the bid confirm it means that they’ve seen all the fees!

Thanks for reaching out to us here. Charitybuzz first implemented our buyer's premium fee in 2019, to help us continuously improve our platform for our customers and the charities that we partner with. The inclusion of our fee is mentioned in several places around our site, including the Conditions of Sale. It's always helpful to receive feedback so that we can ensure a positive customer experience, and we appreciate you sharing your thoughts. We will be making sure that the shipping team gets in touch with you on Monday with tracking information. We want to make sure that your item arrives in timely manner, and will be able to assist with any additional questions that you might have.

I won the happy dance starts now!
The experience was awesome. I love the countdown clock. For me that made it the most exciting to be able to watch it. I did not know about the extra charge. I guess I should’ve read a little better. The charge was not that extravagant and made it to where I didn’t want to purchase though prompt service on getting a hold of you after you one and a day or so after to let you know who is going to be taking care of you.
