I have won 2 auctions. The Charitybuzz employees are as helpful as possible, but I think their hands are tied on some big issues. We call it the "vig" in my house but the 20% upcharge is outrageous. My fault for not reading the fine print the first time. Be very careful about buying vacations. I won a vacation and was being put off from getting a mutually agreed upon date for 2 YEARS!!! Nothing in the 'dry' season was available because they give all of these away to the Hyatt Points people. I told them I didn't spend $10k to be forced to take a vacation when I didn't want to go. I do not doubt that the trip will be wonderful. I am now extremely leary about buying from them. I agree with many other comments that CB is a rip-off and that buyers are now getting savvy with their unscrupulous practices. I want to support charity, but when that means that I'm paying more (in some cases a lot more) than I would if I just booked the trip directly, it's not worth it. Unless I can 'win' something for a good deal + 20% vig, I won't do it.

I have bid on numerous things in the past with good results...the team then was solid and the customer service speedy and reliable. Not sure what happened since, wanted to bid on something recently...had a legitimate question which I emailed to customer service several times...no response whatsoever...that was back on 10/22...it's now 11/2 and still no word. What a shame! How can you trust a site that doesn't even answer a serious question.

Won a trip through Charitybuzz with 2 round trip JetBlue travel certificates to Aruba! Only problem is there are not a lot of seats set aside for travel certificates! So you may find a flight out but no flight coming back on none at all for the dates you want to travel. I finally found a flight going to and coming back and requested to change my dates a week before only to be told the new dates were not available! Thank God I did not book my flights wiht the certificate or I would have lost out!!! Now I have to purchase my flights and I have until November to find somewhere to go so I can use my certificates that I wanted to use with THIS TRIP! UGH!!! Total inconvenience!!!! I just hope to have a beautiful time on my trip so I can leave a review of the hotel and my stay!!!! This may possibly be my first and last auction!!! Glad it went to a good cause though!

What was the $ 400.00 surprise fee for ? It was added on to my credit card not knowing about this .

I have yet to receive my winning bid or receive any information as to when I shall receive it; this is after calling on Friday. As I recall I was charged $ 35 plus for shipping. On Friday I was told it had not left your warehouse and I won the bid on December 8. If it does not arrive by Christmas I will return it and expect a refund of my bid.

We have not received the gift certificate yet.

BEWARE HIDDEN PREMIUM FEES ON WINNING BIDS! Just realized that I was charged 25.3% above and beyond my winning bid on an item. If you read other reviews of “Charitybuzz”, you’ll see that the majority of reviewers are complaining about the same issue. There is no proclamation that is obvious to the bidder that these hidden charges exist. It’s all in the fine print. It’s underhanded. You will get a response that will tell you that this charge is customary as with most other auction houses (20%). In my case, I was charged almost 26%! Then they’ll tell you they’re looking at ways to improve the experience and that your comments will be taken seriously by their staff. This is my first (and last time) dealing with this dishonest so-called charitable organization).

I have not received my item after i was charged 8 days ago. In addition, I have not received any information regarding when it might be shipped/arriving??? This is my first winning bid on Charitybuzz and am not impressed. I can't even find any information on the website about my item. Please help!!!!!
